Poor Sean Hannity! Just when he was ready to settle into using Bob Gates’ new book to relentlessly smear President Obama and Hillary Clinton, along came Gov. Chris Christie’s Bridgegate scandal and stole the limelight! So what else could he do but call on his Fox News colleagues Eric Bolling and Kimberly Guilfoyle to accuse the media of doing Obama’s and Clinton’s bidding for them.

Not surprisingly, Special Report‘s “straight news” report on Gov. Chris Christie’s press conference this evening about George Washington Bridgegate was full of praise for how he handled it. But reporter Mike Emanuel went the extra Fox News mile by reporting that “some experts” say it could wind up as a net plus for him “with 2016 voters.” However, we only saw one such expert with that view.

Back in 2008, candidate Barack Obama incurred the wrath of the right wing because, in speaking about the experiences which make the working class distrustful of government, he accurately observed that they "they get bitter, and they cling to guns or religion, or antipathy toward people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or, you know, anti-trade sentiment [as] a way to explain their frustration." These bitter clingers have a champion in Fox News which exploits the anger and paranoia. Chief among the Fox talkers who promote the view that God fearing Americans are under siege by satanic, liberal forces is Fox's Todd Starnes whose paranoia about government coming for his bible, his money and his Constitution (what, not the gun?) underscores the validity of Obama's commentary.

Megyn Kelly has found a new way to racially smear Attorney General Eric Holder as some kind of black radical. And she enlisted her old pal, the same (white) guy who helped smear him the last time in what was a completely trumped up, baseless attack.

When it comes to race baiting, nobody knows it better than Megyn Kelly. Thanks to her, we know that both Santa and Jesus are white. Thanks to her, we know that black men are very scary. And now, thanks to her piece about a video of an African-American toddler being coached to cuss by adults, we know about scary black babies. The video was posted by the Omaha Police Officers Association who titled it "Thug Culture" and who said, on their blog, that the video will "scare you." So who better to advance this fear of black babies than Megyn Kelly who, last night, let us know how she felt about this issue which, for Fox, is just another opportunity to smear the black community. I'm sure that Megyn's white supremacists fans will be pleased. 

Sean Hannity teamed up with one of his favorite African American haters, Katie Pavlich, for some hideous race-baiting against Attorney General Eric Holder and, of course, President Obama. Warning: This is one of the more despicable segments I have ever seen on Fox.

As part of his pre-emptive strike at a forthcoming, unauthorized biography interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Roger Ailes defended Megyn Kelly's claim that Santa is white the same way she did: by pretending she was joking and that the outcry was little more than an attempt to "bring down or hurt Fox News." Oh, and he also said he re-hired Sarah Palin to tick off her political foes.

Megyn Kelly was a vision of scripted outrage last night as she parroted Bob Woodward’s take on Bob Gates’ forthcoming memoir about the Obama administration's foreign policy and went on to point blame at President Obama for the current problems in Iraq. One person she never considered responsible? President George W. Bush, who started the mess in the first place.

Yesterday, it was reported that Fox News chief Roger Ailes calls his biggest rated host, Bill O'Reilly, a "book salesman with a TV show." Today, in a lapdog interview that Ailes could have scripted himself, Ailes said he wants to start a history channel with O'Reilly. Let the jokes begin! 

Oooh, oohh, we cannot wait until Gabriel Sherman's very unauthorized biography of Fox News chief Roger Ailes is published later this month. Yesterday, the New York Times revealed some goodies and none of them make Ailes look good.
