Gretchen Carlson & Tea Party Congressman's Wife Diss Gov't Assistance For Women
When the Obama administration brought out an online video, "The Life of Julia," the rabid, anti-government right had a collective freak-out. They claimed that the woman in the video was being supported, "cradle to grave," by evil, socialist government when, in fact, "Julia" was a self-reliant woman who was able to be self-reliant thanks to a number of policies enacted by the Obama administration. As expected, Fox News picked up the meme with Eric Bolling claiming that it was "unadulterated communism and Marxism." On this morning's Fox & Friends, Gretchen Carlson lied about "Julia" in a discussion, with Rachel Campos-Duffy, about an organization that promotes economic empowerment for Hispanic women. The very right wing Campos-Duffy is married to GOP teabagging Congressman Sean Duffy who, in 2011, complained about his $174,000 yearly salary which, of course, is courtesy of you and me. And the fictional "Julia" was a "taker?"
Read moreGeraldo Rivera: Zimmerman Jurors Would Have Shot And Killed Trayvon Martin Sooner Than Zimmerman Did
This morning on Fox & Friends, Geraldo Rivera didn’t just think Zimmerman should be acquitted, he gave his personal stamp of approval on the shooting death of “hoodie-wearing” Trayvon Martin by saying that each member of the jury “would have shot and killed” him “a lot sooner than George Zimmerman did.” (h/t Think Progress)
Read moreHannity Race Baits Over Sharpton’s Calls For Peaceful Reactions To Zimmerman Verdict
Sean Hannity may have reached new lows in race baiting last night as first he used Rev. Al Sharpton’s call for peace and calm over a verdict in the George Zimmerman trial as an opportunity to racially smear Sharpton and then used the U.S. Department of Justice’s peace-making efforts to suggest that they were just stirring up racial trouble. This, as Hannity once again relied on Mark Fuhrman as an analyst in the case.

We've previously posted about the Islamophobic sentiments of Fox News "liberal," Bob Beckel. But like many Fox News liberals, Beckel regularly goes along with the conservatives on some hot button issues. But Media Matters has compiled a list of some of Beckel's "greatest" Islamophobic hits.
Read moreBill O'Reilly, Kirsten Powers Attack Women Who Have Late Term Abortions
Hey ladies, if you're pregnant and after 20 weeks you find out that continuing the pregnancy would result in serious damage to your health or the birth of a severely medically damaged fetus that will only live for hours, Bill O'Reilly says you should STFU and suck it up because, otherwise, you're a callous baby killer. And if you did have a late term abortion for one of many serious reasons, don't tell Bill because he'll say that you're a lying slutty slut who is just trying to cover up for having a late term abortion because you wanted to get a pedicure. O'Reilly has been claiming that you nasty bitches will use any excuse to get a late term abortion, a claim that he articulated again on last night's Factor where he was validated by Fox's anti-choice "democrat" Kirsten Powers who continued her patented gaslighting about the Texas abortion law which will effectively ban abortion for many poor, rural women in Texas. We know that Bill O'Reilly hates women - but Kirsten Powers, too?
Read moreReporting On Gov. Bob McDonnell’s Donation Scandal, Fox Fails To Mention He’s A Republican
If you’re a devoted Fox News watcher, you could be forgiven for not knowing about the major ethics scandal plaguing Virginia’s Republican governor, Bob McDonnell, which has also embroiled the state’s attorney general, Ken Cuccinelli. Cuccinelli, you may know, is currently the Republican candidate in a tight race to succeed McDonnell. So we were pleased to see the matter finally make the “latest news” section on FoxNews.com’s home page. But our astute reader, Brian C., noticed an important detail was missing from the story: McDonnell’s Republican party affiliation.
Read moreFox News Pundits: D.C. Walmarts More Important Than Living Wages
On yesterday’s Your World, guests Charles Payne and Elizabeth MacDonald defended Walmart’s plan to nix 3 stores in Washington, D.C. if a living wage bill passes. It’s doubtful either of them live on anything close to the $12.50/hour that is being proposed and I’d love to know how much they shop at Walmart but when it comes to choices for the poor, they knew what was best – and it wasn’t the living wage. Host Neil Cavuto joined in the pile on by suggesting that such a wage was way too generous.

Right now, the lawyers and judge involved in the George Zimmerman trial are discussing and negotiating instructions and charges for the jury. But those "fair and balanced" folks at Fox News are making their own closing arguments on behalf of George Zimmerman. You don't even need to watch the "fair and balanced" channel to know whose side they're on.
Read moreMichelle Malkin Says Texas Pro-Choice 'Radicals' Don't Care About Women! Really?
Fox's America Live is part of the official Fox "news" block and is, supposedly "fair & balanced." So you'd think that in the discussion about the Texas abortion bill, the show would host - oh, say - spokespersons from groups who oppose the bill like- oh, say - doctors with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists or a pro-choice legislator. Oh wait, Megyn Kelly did host liberal radio talk show host, Leslie Marshall, who debated an anti-choice right wing radio guy. So it's all fair & balanced, right? Um, maybe not because, in total, America Live hosted three other segments in which all the participants and, of course, Megyn Kelly, spouted anti-choice propaganda. But Kelly did interview a doctor, so it's all good. Right? Um, maybe not because the doctor is a tea party, anti-choice ophthalmologist. On Monday's show, Michelle Malkin pushed more pro-life propaganda. Unlike Megyn Kelly, Alisyn Camerota actually challenged her. But as far as guests, the score is still rather, um biased?
