George Will: We Should Welcome The Child Refugees To America

Posted by Brian and Ellen · July 27, 2014 4:05 PM · 3 reactions

Fox’s George Will took a surprising stance on behalf of the child immigrants fleeing Central America who have surged at our border. “We ought to say to these children, ‘Welcome to America, you’re going to go to school, and get a job, and become American.’” His Fox News Sunday colleagues seemed taken aback, to say the least.

Jeanine Pirro Slams Obama And Pope Francis, Too!?!

Posted by Priscilla · July 27, 2014 2:03 PM · 6 reactions

wonder_woman.jpg

Fox News employs a vast stable of conservative Catholics, including those who are *divorced, who invoke their religion while hosting Fox shows. The plethora of Fox Catholics isn't a surprise as, on some issues, Catholic theology dovetails nicely with the platform of the GOP which is actively courting Catholic votes. The expectation seems to be that by having Fox's Catholic hosts validate right wing talking points, its Catholic audience will be more inclined to believe whatever agitprop is being pimped. But shockingly, it appears that proud (and divorced) Catholic, Jeanine Pirro isn't happy with her Pope because he hasn't condemned the persecution of Iraqi Christians - an issue that has become a big f**king deal on Fox as it affords an opportunity to bash the President. Last night, Pirro not only attacked the President on this issue - but she slammed Pope Francis, too!!!

Is Hannity Man Enough To Defend His Bullyboy Attacks On A Palestinian-American Guest?

Posted by Ellen · July 26, 2014 5:14 PM · 8 reactions

hannity-3.png

On Thursday night, Sean Hannity engaged in one of his more hideous displays of bullying, browbeating and badgering. It was a segment that purported to be a debate between one of Fox’s favorite Islamophobes and a Palestinian advocate. But Hannity was interested in only one thing from his Palestinian-American guest: demonizing him as a terrorist sympathizer. Now, The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur has challenged Hannity to a real debate on the subject. Will Hannity be man enough to accept?

Fox Regular Ben Stein's Sexting Scandal

File Ben Stein's sexting scandal under "Stranger than Anthony Weiner." Fox regular Ben Stein, a married man best known for his role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, has been accused of sexting a 24-year old, pregnant woman. Said woman sent the texts to the New York Post. Unless they are forgeries - which Stein has not alleged - they look pretty damning to me.

Greg Gutfeld Hates America’s Youth Because They’re Clueless Like Obama!

Fox's Greg Gutfeld sneered about the recent findings of a Pew poll which, he said, revealed that 43 percent of Millennials feel that “socialism is OK” while 86 percent of the older folks do not. To Gutfeld, that was proof that our young people are clueless and/or brainwashed. "Like Obama."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Suggests Clintons Out To Get GOP House Candidate

Posted by Priscilla · July 25, 2014 7:08 PM · 2 reactions

Whenever GOP politicians are attacked, they come running to Fox News for some refreshing rehab provided by Fox hosts who, in their validation of the beleaguered Republican, smear those nasty Democrats who are making their lives miserable. This morning, Fox & Friends' resident Stepford wife, Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave poor GOP House candidate Barbara Comstock an opportunity to promote her candidacy and defend herself against the slings and arrows that Democratic strategist Paul Begala, recently lobbed in her direction. Oh yeah, and Hasselbeck worked in a little Clinton bashing, too. It was all good....

Why You Won’t See The Latest Anti-Clinton Books On The O’Reilly Factor

Posted by Ellen · July 25, 2014 3:51 PM · 6 reactions

Bill O’Reilly said last night that he is “queasy” about how a spate of (conservative) books rely on anonymous sources. He didn’t name the books, the authors or even the topics but it’s almost certain O’Reilly is referring to this summer’s trio of anti-Hillary books. O’Reilly’s announcement, which he put in the form of a question to guest Bernard Goldberg, also suggests that he’s getting pressure from his right flank to promote the books.

Hannity Shows No Humanity Over Botched Arizona Execution

Posted by Ellen · July 25, 2014 9:00 AM · 16 reactions

hannity_botched_execution.png

Sean Hannity discussed the botched execution of murderer Joseph R. Wood – which reportedly took nearly two hours and, according to reporters who witnessed the execution, made Wood gasp and snort for air. But Hannity let not his heart be troubled one itsy bitsy by Christian concern for the least among us. Instead, he trotted out Wood’s victims, who seem to think Wood didn’t suffer enough, and implied agreement.
