Ya gotta love the irony. On a "news" network that routinely vilifies Muslims, Fox News' resident propaganda priest, Fr. Jonathan Morris advances the right wing's newest whine about how leaked Hillary Clinton e-mails show disrespect towards Catholics. (They don't!) and are "un-American!"
In order to put Catholic voters in the R column, Fox News uses the clerical services of Fr. Jonathan Morris to preach the gospel of the GOP. Fox's personal priest has, without actually saying it (wink, wink,) used his Fox pulpit to endorse GOP candidates as being the better choice for Catholics. So we shouldn't be surprised that on this morning's "fair & balanced" America's Newsroom, Fr. Morris joined his fellow Catholic bachelor and Tim Tebow fan boy, Bill Hemmer in a discussion of hacked Hillary Clinton campaign emails that supposedly insulted Catholics.
Hemmer uncorked the whine: "Newly released emails from Wikileaks show members of the *Clinton campaign saying some offensive things about an important voting block, Catholics and evangelicals." He reported that Clinton campaign chief, John Podesta was cc'd on e-mails that (OMG) "mocked" the beliefs of Fox News CEO (and Papal Knight) Rupert Murdoch and Wall Street Journal managing editor Robert Thompson. Hemmer read a quote from one of the awful (not) e-mails which merely stated why, in the author's opinion, Murdoch and Thompson don't convert to evangelical Christianity. The banner, in setting the VERY IMPORTANT FOX MESSAGE, established, as FOX FACT, that "Leaked Emails Show Clinton Camp Mocking Catholics."
To Hemmer's somber question of "what kind of language is that," the sweet little padre asserted that "it's bigotry." He accused the email of suggesting that Murdoch (who had his kids baptized in the Jordan River) and Thompson were raising their kids Catholic "for political purposes." Morris said that some people become Christian because "they are trying to seek the truth." (Right, sleaze peddler Murdoch!). He opined that the email was "shocking."
Hemmer read a quote from another e-mail which represented the writer's opinion that Murdoch and Thompson were attracted to the authoritarian aspects of Catholicism and not "Christian Democracy." (Sounds like Fox News!) Fr. Morris noted that he has been critical of Donald Trump (hmmm?) and said - wait for it - that he "doesn't take any sides." He blithered about religious freedom and that any candidate for president needs to "stand-up for religious freedom [he turned his baby blues to the camera] even if you don't happen to agree with that particular faith."
Hemmer pontificated about how Catholic priests in Ohio and Pennsylvania"will see this and pass it on to the folks in their churches." Morris said that he will be passing it on in the same way that he has passed on negative stuff on Trump. (?!) Hemmer: "You have." Morris continued to splutter about how churches shouldn't endorse candidates (ahem) but speak about "values and principals that will make our country great." Hemmer said that the emails "suggest" that Catholics are "shallow." Morrison repeated that the comments are "complete bigotry" on the part of "elitists" who are "confused," "terribly ignorant," and "anti-American." (And Fox News bashing Muslims, immigrants, atheists, abortion providers, gays, ets..is American?) Morris god blessed Hemmer.
While braying about bigotry, neither Hemmer nor Morris said that the leaks are a criminal offense that might have been perpetrated by the Russians and, as such, might not even be accurate. The emails in question (from 2011) reflect the views of two people. But on Fox, it's an affront to all Catholics. Talk about confusion and ignorance. Talk about "false witness..."

More information – evidence of the fake archives of Murdoch’s newspapers and indications of the crimes and corruption that are concealed – can be viewed [ hackers permitting] at https://rjrbtsrupertsfirstnewspaper.wordpress.com/2016/09/27/rupert-murdochs-fake-archives-of-newspapers-corrupt-journalism-and-billions-of-dollars-of-unaccounted-for-public-debt/ that includes Australian Securities Commission ASC since renamed ASIC Aust. Securities and Investment Commission] media releases that I was able to request & obtain only because I was aware of the information having read it in newspaper articles that have since been erased from public accessible records that are now fake archives.
Ask Rupert what he knows about the fake archives of his newspapers.
The good news is Der Furor doesn’t know how to expand beyond his base. So you’re right, this late in the game it appears unlikely Hillary will lose. Especially with dumbass The Donald telling his equally dumbass followers to vote November 28th (sorry, couldn’t resist some humor).
The bad news is, by most accounts, Hair Hitler realizes this so he plans a scorched earth campaign where he goes into full rage flinging his poo at Hillary until election day.
Ironically, I’m watching Fox News “Fox & Friends” having a diaper dump that it’s Hillary who’s the candidate lacking civility and, as one guest puts it, “Hillary is colluding with the mainstream media” to cover this factoid up. Kilmeade is doing a ‘fair and balanced debate’ where even the liberal concedes the msm is liberal and unfair. Kilmeade is whining it’s the msm who’s dumping the real October surprise to save Hillary’s butt.
Forget WikiLeaks. Somehow “Fox & Friends” has missed all the coverage I’ve seen on it. The message in the Fox News bubble is it’s being swept under the rug because the liberal media is unfairly obsessing on Trump being a sexist and allegedly assaulting women.
Between the October Surprise and the third debate back alley mugging, Hillary is gonna lose some poll numbers.
But don’t fret my fellow hounds, we always have Donald Trump’s mouth on our side.
Of course, if Trump or the RNC were hacked by the Russians, you can be sure they’d be running with the story none of this can be trusted because the source is tainted and the emails either forged outright or tampered with. But never let bad sourcing get in Fox’s way churning up Hillary smears! ;^)
Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson rejects outright they’re sourced to the Russians – Bret protests mildly – and continues to postulate with 100% confidence they’re genuine. At least the ones damning of Hillary are! ;^)
Maybe this new streaming package with Fox isn’t such a grand idea. ;^)
