Tucker Carlson, proud defender of white privilege, believes that any discussion of white privilege is not only racist - but EVIL!!! Seriously, on Sunday morning, when a moving South Carolina church service honored those who were gunned down by a white bigot, this is what Tucker Carlson actually said.
Carlson's topic is the newest big deal from Fox News' favorite right wing, Koch funded, anti-union education "advocacy" group, Education Action Group Foundation. EAG is pimping propaganda which claims that Oregon school teachers and administrators are being subjected to training, by the Oregon Center for Educational Equity, which, according to their website, merely asserts that "racism permeates American society and the nation’s education system." A conservative Republican school board member, Dan Chriestenson, is pissed off about this commie-pinko training and, voila, just happened to be Carlson's Fox & Friends guest.
Carlson began the patented "Trouble With Schools" agitprop with a report about how an Oregon school district has spent big bucks sending folks to a conference aimed at OMG "labeling white privilege as oppressive." He whined that "taxpayers are footing the bill." (Note: Steve Gunn, the author of the EAG article from which Carlson sourced his material, has also attacked the Pacific Education Group for similar, alleged anti-white bias - an attack that was advanced on Fox's "Outnumbered.")
White privilege poster boy, Carlson said that "it's hard to believe that this is happening" and if "there was a conference attacking black people," the Justice Department would investigate. His guest, Dan Chriestenson claimed public schools assume that there is a racist basis for differences in academic performances between white and black students. In defending poor, oppressed white folks, the Fox banner was "Stereotype Slight, OR Conference Labels 'White Culture' as Oppressive." Chriestenson asserted that he wants to "get beyond" skin color and do what's best for the students.
In defending poor, oppressed white folks, Carlson acknowledged that "disparate impact" has been around for years; but "this idea that you can attack a group of people based on their skin color in public seems pretty new." He showed more quotes from the training material which, I guess, was supposed to show anti-white racism. Chriestenson said that "they are taught that all white people are racists," and that minority students are being taught that "despite their best efforts," they won't be able to "achieve their dream." The banners continued to fuel the agitprop about poor, oppressed white folks: "Separating a Society, Chriestenson: Seminar Creates Division" and "Blocking Benefits, 'White Privilege' Blamed for Students Failing."
In a true spit out the coffee moment of irony, Fox News contributor Carlson opined that "this is designed to make people hate each other." He wanted to know why parents haven't "risen up" to stop this. The banner: A 'Taxing' Training, School District Spends $100 K on conference." He whined about the passivity of parents "IN THE FACE OF THIS KIND OF EVIL."
Wow, a young white man, fueled by racist views that aren't that far from those of Tucker Carlson (who actually said, on Fox & Friends, that black on white crime is "fashionable") shoots nine African-Americans and Tucker Carlson says that examining the role of white privilege is evil? Seriously? WTF
