ROFLMAO! Bill O'Reilly, who traffics in lies and smears on a network that traffics in lies and smears, warns us about "deception" in the news!!!!! On last night's "Tip of the Day," a show segment during which O'Reilly proffers his pearls of wisdom, Bill informed us that some media outlets are - wait for it - "not fair and honest."
O'Reilly began by attacking the Yahoo News Service for "taking far left articles" and "posting them without any vetting whatsoever." He wanted his fans to check it out and let him know if they see any conservative media.
His next attack was against the USA Today editorial page. Without providing any specific examples, he said it was "grossly unfair" and OMG "anti-Fox News." Again, without any examples, he attacked the Cleveland Plain Dealer because their editorial pages "could not care less about the truth, they're in business to push a left wing ideology." (And we know Fox would never push a right wing ideology, no sireee!)
He reminded his Barcalounger brigade that "they should know about" this media bias.
Why USA Today, you may ask. Could it be that, in reporting on O'Reilly's possible lack of truthiness about his alleged combat experiences, they said that he "stands exposed of the same kind of puffed-up truth-bending he so regularly derides on his show." Could it be that they lambasted O'Reilly as "more opinionator than journalist" and asserted that Fox "should distance itself from its truth challenged employee."
Why the Cleveland Plain Dealer, you may ask. Could it be that they wrote about accusations that Bill O'Reilly's was being deceptive in his recollection of his press experiences during the Falklands War? Could it be that they didn't heap praises on O'Reilly's book, "Culture Warrior?" Could it be that the editorial pages didn't agree with O'Reilly on Jessica's Law?
Once again, it looks like Bill O'Reilly can give it - but he sure can't take it!
Well, there’s so much I could say on this matter (with much of it pointing out the extreme hypocrisy of BOR pointing fingers at OTHER media outlets for supposed deceptions). I mean, come on, if BOR is really worried about deception, he should start by going after the deceptive “news” and opinion put out by his own network and the spinning bullsh!t that comes out of his OWN mouth.
But what this really comes down to is that BOR’s ego has taken hit because the news outlets he called out have carried articles that reflected poorly on him. It’s not about the news – it’s about HIM and that’s why BOR attacked them. He’s so transparent/juvenile and these deceptive attacks of his on those who dare to offer up valid criticism of him and/or FOX “news” only serve to highlight his whiny baby tendencies.
Btw, I hadn’t read that USA Today OpEd before. “Grossly unfair” and “anti-Fox News”? No, far from it – they nailed it! You were and still are truth-challenged, BOR. And this “tip of the day” proves that as you wouldn’t even tell the folks the REAL reason you went after these media outlets.
“True, O’Reilly is more opinionator than journalist. And the Falklands War happened a long time ago. But the facts still matter, and they are just as good a yardstick for O’Reilly as they are for recently suspended NBC News anchor Brian Williams.
By journalism ethics, Fox should distance itself from its truth-challenged employee. But that’s not likely to happen because for Fox and its fans, credibility is established by different means. Having common enemies matters more than factual detail. That’s why Fox has left a canyon-wide gap between its standards and those of NBC.
NBC took its tarnished anchor off the air; Fox let O’Reilly use his show to go on the attack. NBC executives began an investigation of Williams; Fox News CEO Roger Ailes publicly backed his marquee talent. Williams apologized; O’Reilly threatened journalists writing about him.
NBC tried to make itself better. Fox went to war."

Bill’s mad that the left isn’t the right.
Okay then.
He seems to be running out of “enemies” and is increasingly propping up straw men to attack in response to perceived slights.
How small of a bubble does this charlatan live in?
