Now that he's no longer doing his Fox gig, Mike Huckabee has found another outlet for his need to spread the gospel of the Christian right. He will be appearing in an upcoming anti-gay video which asserts that the evil gay agenda will destroy Christianity.
Yep, Fox fave Mike Huckabee is taking to the silver screen. Along with other members of the American Taliban Christian right and several GOP politicians, Huckabee will be whining about how equal rights for the LGBT community is a violation of religious freedom. In the trailer for "Light Wins, How to Overcome the Criminalization of Christianity," a movie produced by the radical Christian Janet Porter, Huckabee asks "What kind of freedom of speech do we have if a person who expresses a biblical viewpoint about marriage is told they can't open their businesses in a location."
Huckabee loves this film which he praises on Porter's website: "Light Wins" reveals the frightening trend not to simply ignore Christian believers, but to rid society of us altogether. This ground breaking, eye opening film will awaken viewers to the fact that being a spectator is no longer an option. One will be part of the solution or part of the problem, and I hope this riveting documentary will cause believers to take notice."
The Human Rights campaign is urging Huckabee and the other GOP pols to renounce their participation in the film which also features the uber homophobic Scott Lively who was heavily involved in pushing for Uganda's "kill the gays" bill which was eventually struck down in court. In reflecting on Huckabee's and Rand Paul's participation in the film, they state that “it would be unconscionable for any American, let alone one who seeks the presidency, to affiliate with such venomous and dangerous extremism."
The film promises to be educational and informative. Did ya know that the Boy Scout have "needless caved to a dark educational agenda."
And it's not that Huckabee hates gays. He's just "applying biblical rules" so it's all good....
Huckleberry is not a feasible candidate, nor does he even want to be one.
As long as he’s in the race, the Gomers and the Goobers and the Thumpers ‘have their man’ and won’t look anywhere else.
Then, when the time is right, Huckleberry drops out and endorses Jeb.
By doing this, Jeb can spend his time talking about how he will be the man of ‘the people’ (ie: the rich 1%. But the Goobs still have their God candidate — until they don’t.
Huckeleberry in the race simply makes it so Jeb doesn’t have to talk about Gawd.
