Fox Nation Distorts Justice Sotomayor's Quote Regarding Affirmative Action

Posted by Priscilla -26.60pc on January 14, 2013 · Flag

If there's one thing guaranteed to get Fox Nation residents drooling, it's affirmative action which,  according to the Nation dwellers, represents an unfair advantage for those minorities who are on a much lower level than those fine white, Christians who inhabit the racist, apartheid Fox Nation. Fox Nation has this headline: "Sotomayor: My Race Got Me into Princeton." The thread links to a CBS 60 Minutes article titled "Sotomayor on Role Affirmative Action Played in her Life." In discussing her admission to Princeton, she mentioned that "affirmative action played a role in her admittance to Princeton." Key words here - "played a role" - in other words it was, as is the intent of affirmative action, part of a constellation of factors used for admittance to Princeton. She did not mention her "race" and did not state that affirmative action "got" her admission to Princeton. But yeah, I'm sure that lots of Fox Nation denizens were rejected from Princeton because of those unworthy "races."

@ truman: glad you mentioned Thomas; true that.

BTW — it appears Thomas did something today he hadn’t done in nearly seven years — he spoke during oral arguments:

I guess not speaking is another characteristic that makes Thomas one of FoKKKsNotion’s “good blacks” . . .

Exactly, mlp- Affirmaive action is a factor that keeps it as equal as possible. Otherwise, I can name a few colleges that would be nothing but two demographics: Rich, white kids… and what whatever tokens from rich asian/black/latin they felt like taking.

Tokens, would, of course, be based on how readily they bow to white people, as well as how close to super-rich the family is.

To be fair, it’s a very fine line between ‘being a factor’ and being the reason. Sotomayer did say that without affirmative action, she may not have been able to attend Princeton.
But, isn’t that the American way? Doesn’t her success since then act as testimony that at least in this case, affirmative action was a good thing? All the obstacles that this woman had to overcome in order to reach her position just cannot be comprehended by those with a double-digit IQ (to be kind!).

Yale Law School’s affirmative action program was a factor in admitting Clarence Thomas. Of course, you won’t hear a thing about this from the Fux Nation cesspool of hate. After all, Thomas is one of those good blacks who knows that affirmative action for others is evil.

Sotomayor can’t sneeze without Fox Nation trying to figure out how to make it a racist comment. Obama is the only figure they’ve put more racial hatred into that I’ve seen since I started following Fox News.

And yes, I am counting all the not white celebrities they trashed.

If the grammar, spelling and punctuation used by most of them is any indication I doubt many of them finished middle school.
