The George W. Bush Benghazis That Fox News Ignored

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on · Flag

While Fox News hyperventilates - and coincidentally helps Republicans exploit and fundraise - over the Benghazi tragedy, why isn’t every single Democrat who goes on Fox News highlighting all the Benghazis that happened under George W. Bush? The ones that Fox and their GOP cronies ignored? We found them without even looking, why can’t the so-called “strategists?”

From Americans Against the Tea Party:

To hear Fox News and the conspiracy theorists of the right, you would think that the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi was an aberration. That it was unprecedented. That President Obama is so weak he’s the only Commander-in-Chief to allow Americans to die in embassy attacks. Wrong! Which president saw more Americans die at our embassies and consulates? Three guesses and the first two don’t count… that’s right, George W. Bush.

AATTP lists 12 examples of attacks on U.S. embassies and consulates during the Bush years. By my count, there were nearly 100 deaths and almost as many wounded, including 13 schoolchildren, all told. One of the dead included Ambassador David Foy in Karachi, Pakistan. AATP points out that this was the second fatal attack on the consulate in four years. “Where was the extra security? Oh, right. There was none. Mr. Foy was directly targeted in this attack but we never heard a peep from anyone on the right about it.)”

I certainly don’t recall any discussion on Fox News about it. But, to double check, I did a site search on FoxNews.com of “David Foy.” I found only three print stories about him, including one that mentioned a list of US Diplomats Killed Abroad, as of January 1, 2008, when Bush still had more than a year left in his term. The count was five. At least 23 occurred under Ronald Reagan’s watch.

But nothing questioning why there was no extra security in Karachi. No questioning whether Bush Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice used the word “terrorism” in the aftermath of an attack on the U.S. embassy in Syria, either. Can you say "double standard?"

Isn’t it long past time for Democrats and anyone else who cares about the way Fox is exploiting and propagandizing a tragedy for political gain to call them out on it – loudly, clearly and emphatically?

Trey Gowdy was invited by FOX News to attend the White House Correspondence Dinner!! He’s their new hero.

Good article by Kevin Drum:

From Bob Roberts’ comment:

“We know in Canada that Faux isn’t allowed to be broadcasted because of their constant information. It’s a shame that the same can’t be enforced here.”

AMEN TO THAT Bob. That’s because Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Murdoch) KNOWS DAMN WELL HE HAS A VERY SYMPATHETIC SUPREME COURT in his corner.

’Nuff said.

Nixon trainee Ailes once worked with W’s father, so of course, he will bury Bush’s failure to protect embassy employees. This blowhard will always protect the Bushes which explains the news blackout of Bush’s Benghazis on Fox “News” Channel.

We encourage the masses to remind people of the number of embassy employees murdered under Bush. Post on all social media, and call in to all talk radio.

Don’t let a scandal go to waste. The GOP is using the tragedy to raise funds for their next campaigns. Goes to show you how much they really care about the four Benghazi victims.

If you catch any Republican candidate using the tragedy to raise funds for his/her campaign, post the information to all social media, and send to all publications and blogs. Keep a list of the offenders.

Hannocchio continues to bring up Benghazi in hopes his audience will forget about Cliven Bundy. Fat chance. The Stop Hannity Express will continue to remind conservatives of Hannocchio’s abandonment of Bundy, 24/7 for the rest of his miserable broadcasting career.

WOR-AM should convert to all sports talk just to get rid of Hannocchio. That is the only way to dump this crazy, old hack.

Speaking of the crazy old hack, Hannocchio, once again, will make an appearance at Talkers New Media Seminar in NY this June. He’s sponsoring, Breakfast with Hannity, a continental breakfast for talk radio hosts. Why eat a cheap meal when you can eat a better breakfast at a nearby restaurant?

@ Joe Marsh……….I had the radio on after the Mets game Wed. and instead of going to the last couple of hours of Klannnity, they went to sports talk, showing what WOR thinks of his show. That piece of crap thinks the so called WMD’s wound up in Syria, yet Assad somehow has yet to use them to keep himself in power.
All of us believe in the 1st Amendment, but I find it hard to believe that the Founders would have allowed outright lying on a regular basis to make their political points. We know in Canada that Faux isn’t allowed to be broadcasted because of their constant information. It’s a shame that the same can’t be inforced here. Klannity does nothing but lie on a daily basis, and there is nothing that can be done about it.

Yeah. it’s hypocrisy at it’s finest.
But the only solace we have is that we can spell it correctly. They’re not going to stop….it’s all they have.

The hypocrisy shown by everyone on FNC, as well as all the other right wing scum crew, breaks all known records.

It was on display again this afternoon (Fri) for a few minutes that I unfortunately tuned into to Slanthead’s failing* radio shitfest.

He was having a “debate” with two others, including a supposed “moderate” whose name I didn’t pick up. Hannocchio was once again screeching “Benghazi, Benghazi, BENGHAZI!!!” and the “lies, lies, LIES!” coming from Obama on down.

He was interrupted and asked about the countless WMD lies told by Bush et. al. over Iraq. Slanthead shot right back that Bush was right, and he has the evidence to prove it; that he, Sean Hannity, knows right now where the Iraqi WMD are hidden.

Which proves only one thing: not only is Slanthead equally responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans, the death of millions of Iraqis, the total waste of $billions, the near-ruin of the American economy, and the almost total weakness of America’s image abroad — just as responsible as Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice and the rest of those liars… but that Hannocchio is still telling major lies this very day.

You lie!!, Sean Hannity. You’re a liar, a liar, a liar, A PIECE OF DREK LIAR!!!!
  • as further evidence that WOR-AM is totally fed up with having to carry Hannocchio, the mets game the other was over about 3:30 p.m. Allowing for a short wrap up, there’s no reason they could not have picked up the final two hours of Slanthead’s three-hour crapfest. Instead, they broadcast their own, local, post-game wrap up through the evening.

Dumbya Bush can’t be held responsible. He still thinks that Karachi is a form of Mexican folk music.

All I know is if the GOP spent HALF the time they have on 4 Dead Americans in Benghazi, on the hundreds of millions of living Americans here back home, we might have a comprehensive Jobs bill by now. Utterly obscene.
