NewsOne host Roland Martin had some choice words for Bill O'Reilly in response to his vow to put #BlackLivesMatter "out of business."
Earlier this week, O'Reilly - along with Fox & Friends host Elisabeth Hasselbeck - called #BlackLivesMatter a hate group. O'Reilly also vowed that he would put them out of business. In addition, he said, threateningly, "Any media person who supports them? I’m gonna put them on this program and put their picture right on the air."
Roland Martin, a former CNN host, wants O'Reilly to do just that and more. In fact, Martin wants to debate him "any time, any day."
In an impassioned response, Martin also lowered the boom on O'Reilly's bias and lack of concern for police brutality which is what #BlackLivesMatter is really all about.
MARTIN: I don’t recall you, Bill O’Reilly, ever saying that you’re gonna take out police brutality. I don’t recall you ever saying you’re gonna take out police corruption. But all of a sudden, you want to take out Black Lives Matter movement because you don’t like the fact that they’re out there protesting.
...When are you gonna use your voice and your platform to go after cops? When will you, Bill O’Reilly, tell the good cops they should stand up and say something when cops lie on police reports when they kill black people? Until you do that, shut the hell up.
Indeed.

Billy has until next Friday to accept Martin’s challenge. If he doesn’t, we encourage all the masses to write letters and columns, and call every talk radio station in the U.S. and U.K., small and large, and tell the world that Billy is hiding under his desk, and is afraid to debate Martin. We will continue this campaign until Billy’s accepts Martin’s offer.
Bill’s a traditional sort of guy. If you define “traditional” as white, Southern strategy loving, Bible fearing (but never reading) conservative (preferably of the Republican establishment variety). 😉
