Our old pal Suzanne Venker is back on FoxNews.com – still trashing feminism and demanding a return to the values of traditional marriage. But the last laugh’s on her because somehow her picture of traditional wedded bliss was – wait for it – two women who were the first same-sex couple to be married at the Empire State Building.
Although the photo has since been removed from FoxNews.com, it was not before Mediaite got a screen grab:
Blogger Jessica Valenti seems to have been the one who first caught on to this hilarious flub and first identified the women and their high-profile wedding:
From The Daily Mail:
Two women who met at the University of Alaska have become the first same-sex couple to be married at the Empire State Building after winning a competition by celebrity event planner Colin Cowie.
Stephanie Figarelle and Lela McArthur exchanged rings Tuesday and promised to love each other for the rest of their lives.
The couple won an online contest called ‘Wings of Love’ on Facebook, where users picked out everything from the wedding bands to the reception menus, and even the floral arrangement.
Sadly, Fox has now removed the photo.
LOL — this is oddly reminiscent of the time Fox substituted a picture of President Obama for Mitt Romney:
substituted a former Air Canada CEO for the Italian PM:
and substituted President Obama for Osama bin Laden:
As I said before, who has time for fact-checking when pushing propaganda?
