On Thursday night, Sean Hannity engaged in one of his more hideous displays of bullying, browbeating and badgering. It was a segment that purported to be a debate between one of Fox’s favorite Islamophobes and a Palestinian advocate. But Hannity was interested in only one thing from his Palestinian-American guest: demonizing him as a terrorist sympathizer. Now, The Young Turks’ Cenk Uygur has challenged Hannity to a real debate on the subject. Will Hannity be man enough to accept?
The excuse for Hannity’s bullyboy theatrics was a letter-writing campaign by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) calling on Israel to stop its military attacks on Gaza. For Fox, that meant, as the blaring headline on the screen put it, “SYMPATHY FOR THE TERRORISTS.”
“Why is America’s largest Muslim so-called civil rights group showing sympathy to terrorists?” Hannity added for good measure.
Palestinian-American Yousef Munayyer, Executive Director of Washington, D.C.’s Jerusalem Fund for Education & Community Development, was purportedly there to speak on behalf of the Palestinian community.
Munayyer is not likely part of any sleeper cell or anything else terrorist related. He has a BA from the University of Massachusetts, an MA from the University of Maryland and is currently working on a doctorate.
But Hannity’s only interest in Munayyer was in using him as a springboard for demonizing theatrics. An electronic lynching, if you will. In fact, Hannity was so busy showboating, I’m not sure Munayyer was able to answer a single question before being interrupted by more hammy hectoring.
The other guest, Fox regular Zuhdi Jasser, is a virulent Islamophobe who has made such inflammatory accusations on the air as blaming the Nigerian schoolgirl kidnapping on President Obama. But Hannity was so busy outdoing Jasser that he barely had an opportunity to speak.
Just to show how disingenuous and self-aggrandizing Hannity’s aims were, check out how he hostilely demanded Munayyer answer a gotcha, “Is Hamas a terrorist organization?”
Munayyer, after trying in vain to speak to the larger issue he was supposedly invited to discuss, finally said, “The United States certainly considers Hamas a terrorist organization, we all know that.”
But that was not a satisfactory answer for Hannity. He continued by trying to railroad Munayyer into saying whether or not he personally considers Hamas a terrorist organization. Hannity used “questions” such as “Can you hear?” and “What part of this can’t you get through your thick head?”
Near the end, Munayyer asked, “Do I get to say anything in this conversation?”
Hannity responded, “You had your chance. You didn’t say Hamas is a terrorist organization. Goodbye.”
Fortunately, The Young Turks caught this segment and host Cenk Uygur had some choice words for “big blockhead” Hannity. As Raw Story pointed out, Uygur said he would not ask to appear on Hannity’s show, but “If he wants to have me on, great, I’ll kick his ass all day long. …You think that pussy could ever dare to get in a real debate where he doesn’t control the mics?” Uygur also agreed to go on another show, such as Bill Maher, and debate Hannity.
Maybe if Uygur promised not to waterboard him?

Hannocchio’s father was more of a man than him. He was not fearful, unlike his weak and crazy son. We felt sorry for his mother. Raising a troubled son was probably stressful, and probably took a toll on her health. What an embarrassment to the family name.
He was a wreck in his younger days, and still is a wreck in his older years. Look at his face. The years have not been kind to him. He has age lines all over his face. The hate over the years has taken its toll on his looks. He looks 62 instead of 52.
Hannocchio will never man-up. He will never waterboard himself for charity, and he will never debate someone who he knows can win. A weak soul.
The Stop Hannity Express says call him out on other radio shows on his failure to waterboard himself for our troops. If you have the funds, post on billboards across America demanding he fulfill his promise to our military servicemen and women.
NOTE TO HANNITY
You are an embarrassment to Irish-Catholics across America, and to your grandparents, parents and children.
Real Irishmen back in the day would laugh at your weakness.
Well, let’s see:
We’re talking about the guy who STILL hasn’t followed through with that promise to be waterboarded for charity he made five years ago:

And the guy who once RAN from some irate Ron Paul supporters:

The answer ought to be obvious . . .
