In case you missed it, Glenn Beck said last week that he left Fox News in order to save his soul, suggesting that Roger Ailes wanted him to stay. Today, Fox unequivocally challenged that. Politico received an email from a Fox News spokesman saying: Glenn Beck wasn't trying to save his soul, he was trying to save his ass. Advertisers fled his show and even Glenn knows what that means in our industry. Yet, we still tried to give him a soft landing. Guess no good deed goes unpunished.
Media Matters did the math and confirmed that the number of paid advertisements during Glenn Beck's show plummeted and never recovered as a result of grassroots efforts to get him off the air. Fox's current position is especially interesting given that, as Media Matters also noted, Rupert Murdoch previously denied that Beck lost any significant number of advertisers.
A network who hires a pathological liar to entertain there viewers with FauxNews propaganda, oooooorrrrr, the lying propagandist who took the ball and ran with it, but obviously went to far when it started costing the network advertising dollars(and any dignity)?
Neither have any journalistic integrity.
Neither give a damn about “facts.”
Neither care about the damage they cause to everyday average people by misinforming them about virtually every topic they cover.
What’s worse-A guy who says “buy more gold and survival seeds” or a network that “used to” say “buy more Glenn Beck.”
The only time the Beckerhead will be invited to Bile’s program now is when Bile needs to inject a dose of B.S
into his dwindling Fan club members to show how intelligent and informed he is.
The invites to appear on Billy’s program may be short-lived. The Fox “News” executives were highly offended that Beck dissed them in public.
And this comes in the wake of a Twit(ter) fight between The Combover and Ms. Maglalang:
