It was a busy week for email last week. That is, a busy week for emails meant for Fox News but sent to us. We even got one from someone who should know better - which is to say from a liberal critic. So here for our enjoyment - and for the Fox News employee(s) who read our blog is our latest crop:
As always, names and other identifying information have been redacted to protect the ignorant. Grammar, spelling and punctuation have been left intact.
Subject: Veterans
Hi,
On you feature today on the raising of monies for veterans. I have yet to have a homeless or one that claims to be a homeless vet take food from me. I was on my way to Wal-Mart, noticed a man with a sign saying “HOMELESS VET PLEASE HELP”. I do not give them cash, I don’t know their history. I bought a whole braised chicken. He had moved from where he was, I found him a few yards from where I had seen him. I offered the chicken and he said NO, Thanks.
So if you claim on your sign, which he did, would accept any help, and you give up a whole roasted chicken, then you should not be begging for help.
Thanks
Subject: Obamacare
Each state has individual insurance licenses and require anyone giving advice or selling insurance to be licensed in that state. Those laws include Health Insurance . Therefore, all Heath policies including Obamacare, that were given advice by the Navigators, were sold illegally (advice given by an unlicensed person, doesn't matter if they are paid on salary or commission) and must be rescinded under state insurance law. Have fun! Call me if you need more at (redacted)
This next one is long but gives an interesting (to me, anyway) glimpse into the mind of a dedicated Fox fan. Why this person is "unable" to get coverage on the Obamacare website is a mystery. I've been on the site many times and for long periods of time this past week and except for a brief period where the website was overwhelmed with traffic, it worked fine. I suspect she just didn't want to do it.
Subject: Interesting story
Hello-
I am a physician in (redacted), SC for the past twenty years. I saw Greta van Susteren's interview of the SC man who lost his family's health insurance and is having difficulty obtaining coverage tonight.
I have a complex, almost inconceivable story which is multi-faceted, and illustrates just how incredibly wrong Obamacare, our health care system, the insurance industry and the legal system truly are. I have the unfortunate privilege of being raped by this system from both sides- both as a physician and a patient, and a client of auto, liability, UIM, and own-occupation disability carriers.
I believe my story is of interest to Fox News, which, for the record, is the only news station allowed on our television, and I would love to speak to Greta, or anyone else who may be interested in hearing what has transpired in my personal and professional life over the past seven to seventeen years, and how perfectly it illustrates and exemplifies the devastatingly abusive nature of what is happening in this country.
In a nutshell, after 18 years of being a provider, and almost as many as a patient, I was dumped by my carrier, BCBS. You see, I was slammed from behind while stopped at a light in 2006, by a woman who never looked up from her cellphone. Ironically, I was leaving the surgery center where I had just finished doing procedures to treat chronic pain patients, which I have done for twenty two years. As a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, I also practiced Anesthesia in the operating room at several hospitals. The result of the hit from behind was three herniated discs, two in my neck and one in my low back. I went from training for a triathlon to the inability to do anything I loved or trained to do, and my children's and my lives were indelibly changed at that moment. Four years later, I was unable to consistently and safely practice Anesthesia, and discontinued in 2010. I invested my life savings to open a new aesthetic laser business. I was declared uninsurable after two neck operations, and was uninsured for 18 months. I was finally able to get some coverage through the Federal pool, PCIP. I have a $7000 out of pocket expense, and the coverage is abysmal, but it is something. Lo and behold, I was informed two weeks ago that I am uninsured at the end of this month, due to Obamacare. I have been unable to get coverage on the site, and am reluctant to do so anyhow, as I have already had 3 identity thefts, two by insurance companies, and one by my mortgage company.
I also cannot get a refinance on my home mortgage, as I do not have three years of self-employed income to show, despite the fact that my equity in the home is triple what I owe on it.
After a lifetime of training to practice medicine, and twenty five years of taking care of others, I am uninsured, uninsurable, unemployable, denied my valid but reluctant insurance claims by the companies I have paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to for the best coverage money could buy, and at risk of losing my home and my business. I have raised twins on my own since they were ten months old- they were ten at the time of my accident, and are now seventeen. Their lives have been turned upside down.
As the gentleman in your interview said tonight, you do the right thing your whole life, and you end up where? What do I tell my son when, after teaching him that, no matter how corrupt the goings on around you, you need to keep doing what you know is right, he asks, "Mom, how has that been working out for you?" My son is an adamant, vocal Conservative, who will debate any adult I know into a corner. He watched every debate, and attended Rick Santorum's Town Hall, although I could not make it. When his public school teacher said to the class last year that Republicans were five times more likely to be puppy killers, he responded with, "I guess that means Democrats are ten times more likely to be baby killers." From that day on, his teacher gave him a failing grade on everything he turned in, and she failed him in English, forcing him to spend the summer in credit recovery, and destroying his GPA. He is consistently in the 95th-99th percentile nationwide, but failed English for that response to her comment.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I can tell you where the money goes, where the waste is, where the corruption is, and how it is perpetrated. Most people don't want to hear the truth. It is not politically correct for anyone to write about it, or talk about it on TV, and not in the best interests of the mainstream media. I would like to believe that someone at Fox News is interested in hearing the very real stories that I have to tell that may, just possibly, help your viewers. Awareness is the first step.
I can be reached by email or at any of the numbers below.
Thank you so much for your time. I wish you all the best-
Subject: transplant
I was watching about the little boy who had 5 transplants Life does go on. My husband had a liver transplant 27 years ago and our son give him a kidney in 1999. I hope the boy will live as long and happy, wonderful years as my husband did and many many more.
Why are stories put on TV without being verified? When verified the view is slanted from reality to maybe a possibility. Please get real and present the truth to the public. I believe you should be responsible for what you represent as total truth, or at least majority truth.Sorry to see that Fox has gone the way of brainless, mindless, irresponsible excuse for journalism and replaced it with the lemming approach to sensationalism. The study on vitamins clearly states that vitamin supplements are not needed at all by all those who eat many vegetables and fruits along with other healthy foods each day at increased expense and effort to them. This accounts for a very small percentage(less than ten percent) of the American public. We need to get editors who are willing to give up their jobs as a result of trying to sensationalize fantasy. You appear to lower yourself to the level of tabloids, yet using reputation to seem credible.Thank you for your time.
You run a commercial for Lego that is most annoying as the sound is increased so that we have to turn the sound down when it comes on, then increase it when the program come back on. I watch Fox News programs most of the day, but am tempted to change the channel each time this commercial is on. If this is the work of my local station, please let me know so that I may direct my concern to them.
Thank you,

Love the show!
That's it for this week!
Really??? Imagine my surprise!
And, I agree with Brian….the anesthesiologist story just smells bad. If it IS true, this person seems to be so programmed against “Obamacare” that she won’t even try it. If she’s dumb enough to think, act and vote against her own (and family’s) best interests, then she deserves her fate. Some people just can’t be helped.
To the idiot offering the homeless vet a “whole braised chicken.” Did you stop to think WHERE THE HELL WAS HE GOING TO PUT IT? The homeless can go to shelters for food, you idiot; it’s not as easy for them to just, well, what was he going to do with it? Did you expect him to eat the WHOLE BIRD right then and there? You didn’t bother to tell us what you gave it to him in. Did you hand it to him on a paper plate or a batch of paper towels? And also, really, would YOU take a “whole braised chicken” from someone YOU didn’t know? For all the guy knows, you could be some crazed serial killer, and the chicken was laced with arsenic or rat poison that would’ve killed him within hours of eating it.
As for the moron “concerned” about the licensing of navigators, he or she should do some research before showing his/her stupidity (even to the idiots at FoxNoise). I did a search asking the question, “are navigators required to be licensed by state insurance boards” and the first ten results I got seemed to indicate that the states displaying in the results have some sort of LICENSING information available. IN THE SEARCH RESULTS BRIEF. The first two results both come from Tennessee’s Insurance Division (both display information on how to apply to become a “navigator”). The third, from Indiana, is a bit vaguer in the brief but when you go to the website, there IS information about becoming a “navigator.” And the remaining 7 hits ALL have “navigator” information in the brief (the states are Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana and Georgia—you might have noticed, a number of these are “red” states or have GOP governors). So your little “concern” has already been addressed (the Indiana website was dated in AUGUST of 2013—the pdf that I read was basically how one went about applying to become a “navigator”) and it proves your stupidity.
