Dr. Ben Carson is ready to start a confrontation with Russia in Syria, on the Turkish border and in the entire Baltic region. And Sean Hannity didn’t mind a bit.
In the first of a two-part interview of softballs on the Hannity show, Carson – who has no experience in government, national security, foreign policy and never served in the military – seemed eager to show off how eager he is to start a new war.
CARSON: He [Putin] really was very disappointed with the dissolution of the Soviet Union and he wants to rebuild an empire. And he needs to extend his influence widely and he is noticing that there is weakness and therefore, like any bully, he’s going to continue to push. And I believe that we need to stand up to him.
…First of all, I wouldn’t listen to his generals saying, ‘You guys can’t fly here anymore. I would say, “Not only can we fly but you need to go take a flying leap." You know, not a problem.
HANNITY: In other words, you’d be willing to create a confrontation where …you say, ”We were here first. You’re not gonna get in our way?”
CARSON: Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely.
HANNITY: And if he wants a showdown?
CARSON: And I would establish a no fly zone along the Turkish border and I wouldn’t respect any of the boundaries that they set and I would also know that his relationships go way, way, way, way back, you know? …All of these relationships are very, very complex. We have to stop him wherever he is. We have to stop him in the Baltic basin, …not just the Baltic states but the whole basin.
HANNITY: All of eastern Europe and western Europe is dependent on their energy so…
CARSON: And we can stop them there because we have abundant energy.
HANNITY: We do.
Notice anything missing from this little exchange? Nobody mentioned diplomacy. It’s as if diplomacy doesn’t count for anything in the chickenhawk world of Fox News.
Watch Armchair General Carson plan our next war below, from the October 5 Hannity.
Next time you go 15 miles, please note that distance well. That’s about how far you can go in a day by horse or wagon. Check it for yourself. I’m 20 miles from the nearest freeway and another 22 miles to get to work. It would take 3 days to get to work.
Are you truly ready for that? I doubt it seriously. If Russia who really doesn’t like us to begin with controls the bulk of the Middle East, including the Suez canal what do you think is going to happen to your standard of living? Think people!
“Any excuse for war is good enough for right-wingers, I suppose.”
Yes indeed — as long as NONE OF THEIR LOVED ONES aren’t getting shot at, crippled, maimed or KILLED!
Any excuse for war is good enough for right-wingers, I suppose. I’m sure Dr. Carson will start the best war ever!
Oops. Somebody better tell Mr Carson he’s gone off the approved GOP script. He just acknowledged that the US already has plenty of energy reserves. (I mean, the whole reason the GOP’s been screaming “drill, baby, drill” has been to “end American’s dependence on foreign oil.”
Carson did NOT couch the comment in a conditional form like “provided we do more land and offshore drilling.” No. He made a definitive statement about America’s current status (you’d think that any idiot would know that it takes years to produce enough exportable oil and natural gas to cover what he’s talking about).

Someone needs to ask Dr. Ben about fluids and fluoridation.
