On June 6, in a Fox & Friends discussion about Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration’s support of him, Brian Kilmeade suggested Holder may be bipolar for seemingly contradicting himself on freedom of the press.
In the clip below, via Media Matters, Kilmeade explodes near the end:
Can you please tweet and make sense of this. He said ‘I have great respect for the press, in essence saying that a reporter who’s doing his or her job, and doing a very important job is somehow branded a criminal, well I’m just not comfortable with that.’ You’re the one who branded him criminal. You wrote up the request to the judge. You’re the one who did it. Is he in front of us having bipolar disorder that can be diagnosed publicly?

@ Joseph West: “mj, we ARE talking about FoxNoise here. Their grasp of how the law works is very tenuous at best (and that’s despite all the “lawyers” they have working at the network IN FRONT OF the camera).”
No worries — if the UK phone hacking scandal ever blows up, I feel Fox will get more of an “education” on the law than they were hoping for . . .
“Of course, they’d have problems if this were being done by ANY Democrat, but the added fact that the President AND the Attorney General are varying shades of brown is cause enough for the FoxNoise panties to turn their own shades of brown.”
Hit. Nail. Head.

mj posted “Holder did not “brand” anyone a criminal simply by requesting a warrant, anymore than the police don’t automatically brand someone a criminal when they obtain a search warrant.”
mj, we ARE talking about FoxNoise here. Their grasp of how the law works is very tenuous at best (and that’s despite all the “lawyers” they have working at the network IN FRONT OF the camera). Remember that, during the Dubya years, FoxNoise and the rest of the GOP cons were eagerly advocating the position that “if you don’t do anything wrong, you have nothing to fear from the law.” Which is why they didn’t have any problem with Dubya’s White House spying on people’s phone records or e-mails or the profiling of “certain” individuals boarding planes or driving on roads.

Oh, and Kill-me:
“You’re the one who branded him criminal. You wrote up the request to the judge. You’re the one who did it.”
EARTH TO BRIAN KILL-ME:
Holder did not “brand” anyone a criminal simply by requesting a warrant, anymore than the police don’t automatically brand someone a criminal when they obtain a search warrant.
I’m not worried about the AGUSA suffering from bipolar disorder. I AM, however, concerned about you suffering from paranoid delusions . . .

@truman: “Dr” Brain Kilmeade is poaching on “Dr” Keith Allblow’s crackpot psychiatry territory.
My thought exactly. This kind of diagnosis without the benefit of examination is something we’ve come to expect from Keith Ablowme.
Kill-me has no medical degree — but, then again, when has lack of expertise ever stopped anyone on Fox before?
