According to FoxNews.com, an arrest in the Boston Marathon bombings is "imminent." UPDATED
From FoxNews.com:
DEVELOPING: Investigators have identified a suspect believed to be responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing and sources told The Associated Press that an arrest is imminent.
The suspect was captured on surveillance footage and showed a young man carrying – and perhaps dropping – a black bag at the second bombing scene at Monday’s Boston Marathon. The camera at Lord & Taylor, located directly across the street, has given investigators clear video of the area, according to the unnamed official.
Fox now backing off this story somewhat.

Like I said on another thread: Name one source that’s doing a good job with this story. For every one development that turns out to be real, there’s seven that were just some joker screwing the media around, and the large majority of hosts being more concerned with breaking than facts.
But Fox is a joke, even for the joke.
And DD: Fox comes in 2nd on every major story. CNN’s gun jumping just made it happen faster this time.

@ez – then shame on them for jumping the gun too. I can only comment on Kelly’s/FOX’s irresponsible reporting (as I don’t watch CNN anymore). However, I gotta chuckle a little bit that, despite Kelly’s getting ahead of the story in order to get the announcement of an arrest out there quickly, FOX came in 2nd to CNN. LOL! A pox on both their houses. :-]

Why doesn’t Fox just pay one of their goobers to ‘confess’ that he/she is a lib’rull freak that just had to set them bombs because Obama told him/her that it was the right thing to do? And Rev. Wright gave his blessing, and Bill Ayers made the bombs. You just know that’s what they want to hear!

Yeah, poor Megyn – she seems a bit irritated that there’s a bunch of conflicting reports (which ended up making her look rather foolish for her reporting that an arrest had been made). She just tried to take attention off her’s/FOX’s jumping of the gun by pulling out her concerned voice and saying that this “is a media story because the media is all over the board on this but that it really should be about the hell that was unleashed” on the people of Boston.
Yes, that IS the story, Megyn – too bad you/FOX lost sight of that and, in your rush to be the 1st to report an arrest, you reported what had yet to be definitely confirmed.
FBI just released a statment saying that no arrests have been made and they are asking the media to use caution and get verification from appropriate channels before reporting.

What we’re seeing is the kids game “telephone” played out in the news media, and it is quite silly.

I should note that I was referring to 1pm Central time zone (2pm Megyn Kelly’s time zone).

Since a little before 1pm, Kelly has been saying that an arrest was imminent. Then about 15 min. or so ago, she was reporting that an arrest has been made and that a suspect would be taken to the courthouse (didn’t catch which courthouse). She and some analyst who worked for BushCo. were discussing whether the suspect should be put into the civil court system, whether they should be taken to Gitmo or whether they should even have Miranda rights given to the suspect (as if FOX thinks the suspect is not a US citizen). Meanwhile, MSNBC has been saying that there is no confirmation that an arrest has been made. And now, we have Kelly admitting that an arrest has not been made.
Geez, how about waiting for a definite confirmation before saying an arrest was made, Megyn? Looks like MSNBC’s more cautious approach is smarter.
