In yet another attempt to smear President Obama, Fox News is pushing the meme that President Obama lied when he told Israeli President Netanyahu that he doesn't have time to meet with him. (Netanyahu told David Gregory it was scheduling conflict). To support this notion that Obama is ignoring Netanyahu (who, according to Netanyahu has met with him more than any world leader) Fox & Friends ran a photo, sourced from Drudge, that purports to show Obama meeting with an actor dressed as a pirate. While Fox& Friends claimed this took place yesterday, the "meeting" took place in 2009! Fox News should be walking the plank for yet another lack of truthiness. But they don't seem to care. AAARRGGG!!!!!
This all started yesterday when Obama tweeted a photo of himself, with the "buccaneer," in order to celebrate "Talk Like a Pirate Day." It was quickly seized and deceptively framed by Drudge. The correct information, however, was available, on The Daily Mail, 10 hours ago. The photo is shown on a 2009 blog entry. But Steve Doocy, during their "pic of the morning" segment, "joked" that this was a "quick look at what" the president is "up to." Brian Kilmeade, in noting that Obama has no time to meet with Netanyahu, later stated it as fact - after Media Matters reported the lie.
Even the conservative Washington Examiner has reported the true story which was posted too late for Fox & Friends; but Fox News Insider still has it. Their headline: "President Obama Finds Time To Meet With Pirate On "International Talk Like a Pirate Day." Guess it's not a lie if you believe it! Shiver me timbers, matey!
And word to the curvy couch potatoes - If you want to source Drudge, ya might want to do some fact-checking first. Just sayin...
Wonder if the three stooges friends will find the time to correct this? Just askin...
Priscilla, if Fox had walked the plank for EVERY instance of their lack of truthiness, they’d have been in Davy Jones’ Locker and covered with barnacles long ago . . .

Word to the couch potatoes: if you source Drudge — you’re already beyond help.
.
The picture we aired this morning of the President & the pirate was from 2009
Notice it was not an apology to the President or their audience.
Lakeview Greg, that was funny.
Priscilla, Priscilla, Priscilla. Thank you for the laugh.
“Fact-checking” at FoxNoise? Where do you think the Romney campaign came up with the idea that they don’t need to rely on fact-checkers? The folks at Fox rely on their own set of facts. If Obama were to say, “The sky is blue and the grass is green,” the FoxNoise folks would say “Obama’s lying again because everyone knows the sky is green and the grass is blue” even as they show an exterior shot that actually showed blue skies and green grass.
