As I reported below, an African American Coney Island School Principal is getting harassed with vile racist comments because of her decision to remove Lee Greenwood's "I'm Proud to be an American." (Some irony there!) So just to make sure that this continues, Fox Nation, a site "for those opposed to intolerance" has posted a thread, complete with photo of this woman and the headline "Does This Principal Hate America?" Nuff said!

In the interest of fairness and balance: It looks as though the complaint may stem from ongoing strife within the school. Hawkins is not popular at all among teachers and parents, and has been reprimanded by the Office of Equal Opportunity and the Board of Ed for remarks she has made in the past deemed to be racist. She has been accused of micromanaging the staff running personal vendettas, and generally being a bully.
Here’s an article about her reprimand, for which she had to attend sensitivity training:
http://articles.nydailynews.com/2010-09-29/local/29441324_1_public-school-staffers-wrong-words
No doubt when the RWNJs get hold of this info they’ll be screaming about her racism from the rooftops while happily ignoring their own.
Here are reviews by teachers. I’d ignore the ones from the past couple of days but as you’ll see most predate this recent song controversy:
http://teachervoice.com/principal-reviews/Brooklyn/P-S-90-Edna-Cohen-School/10-47416/
None of that is any excuse for calling her anti-American.
Is it possible she is overreacting to to the cultural sensitivity issue due to her previous reprimand? Or is she micro-managing again? Or maybe she’s right, its not an age-appropriate song.
Besides which, it just sucks. It’s a jingoistic piece of crap which insinuates that other countries aren’t “free” like the USA.

This is how you get back at these Fox “News” frauds. If you live in the principal’s district, tell her the hate is coming from Fox “News” Channel.
Write letters to the editor reminding the masses that Fox “News” draws on hate for ratings purposes.
Lee Greenwood is only known for one hit song. Lady Gaga has more hits than him which says a lot about his music career.

Billo the clown, just did a segment, and he’s think this woman, hates God, and America, and he said that if she does not go on his show, and explane, he’ll send Jesse out to get her. But he left out that shes she being called names. Typical Billo. Also I think it was wrong for her ban that song, because I feel it would only make poeple hate Liberal like me , and Public Schools even more. If i’m wrong please let me know.

I noticed that too, Margarita, but my take on it is that it was done deliberately to upset more people since God Bless America is such an old, beloved classic. It also references God, which of course is another dog whistle to the wingnuts.

You know what’s funny? The picture on this Fox Nation thread is of the wrong tune.
Goes to prove my theory that right wingers’ brains are incapable of processing art or music or other finer things. They compensate by screaming and yelling a lot.

Good thing Fox Nation is opposed to intolerance - or God knows what their headline might have said.

Fux Nation moderator Jesse Watters has an easy job. When he wants to jack-up the number of site hits, he posts a photo of any African-American with some inflammatory text. Then he just sits back and waits for the turds in the Fux Nation cesspool of hate to start thrashing about.
