Recently, PBS' Frontline aired a documentary about the phone-hacking scandals at News Corporation, the role of the Murdoch family and the interrelationships with the police and 10 Downing Street. Every Frontline documentary is worth watching, in my opinion, but this one is especially relevant to the News Hounds community. (H/T Eric J.)

Bob Roberts, you are so right about the dangers. The big unanswered question hanging over these proceedings is what happened in the U.S.?

Watched this when it first aired. Stunned at how the police and members of gov’t kowtowed to Murdoch for fear of him ruining them in his press. His press, though tawdry and scandal-ridden, was the most read in England. The length of time that News Corp. was involved with the gov’t, as far back as Thatcher, should worry every citizen of England. To allow one man, or one corportation, this much control of media outlets, aka newspapers and TV, is a very dangerous, dangerous situation.
