Tuesday Was Product Placement Day On Fox & Friends

Posted by Headly Westerfield 98.60pc on February 09, 2012 · Flag

News Hounds has spent years documenting the lowlights of Fox and Friends, the Fox “News” Happy Talk/Agit-Prop morning tee vee show.  This past Tuesday those Foxy Friends—Steve Doocy, Gretchen Carlson, and Brain Brian Kilmeade—set a new low so low that it will live in infamy for a very long time: an EXCLUSIVE interview with Ms. Brown.  Oh! Who is Ms. Brown, you ask?  Just the newest M&M, who made her world debut at the Super Bowl, is all, doncha know?  No.  That’s not a typo.  The Foxy Friends of Fox and Friends interviewed an animated piece of candy.  To be fair: It was one of the most fair and balanced segments they ever produced, as well as the most surreal.  On the downside: it was excruciatingly bad tee vee that was little more than a 3-minute commercial for candy.

However, things got even more surreal later in the show when Kilmeade sat down to discuss the current state of the GOP leadership race with Curt Schilling.  No.  That’s not a typo either.  It appears the former-Major League Baseball Player is an expert on politics.  However, talking politics was merely an excuse to ease Curt into SCHILLING (geddit?) for his new ultra-violent video game “Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.”  As Kilmeade and Schilling played the game, it was excruciatingly bad tee vee that was little more than a 3-minute commercial for violent video games.  An added bonus for the kids watching at home: they got to see people being hacked to bits.

This is one episode of Fox and Friends that should definitely go in the time capsule.  Videos after the jump.

They’re warming up with a friendly virtual object in preparation for their debate with real objects known as The Muppets. My money is still on the Muppets.

Why didn’t Brain ask Ms Brown for her assessment of the GOPiggie Presidential contenders? Afterall, an animated piece of candy has as much credibility as an ex-jock, Crazy Train Cain, Snow Snooki or the Combover.
