For some reason, NBC decided to reward Trump for backing out of a debate with Joe Biden, with baseless accusations, by giving him his own town hall, at the same time as Biden's on ABC. Which will you be watching?

I occasionally check out Fox just to see what lies, misdirection, faux scandals, and pointless irrelevancies they are now spreading. So, I just saw a bit of “Outnumbered,” in which the one token sort-of-liberal, Juan Williams (outnumbered by four toe-the-line crazy-Trumpers) was asked about VP Biden’s response to Cedric Humphrey’s question at the Philadelphia Town Hall last night. Humphrey asked what Biden had to say to young Black voters like Humphrey who won’t vote for Trump but also are reluctant to vote at all because they see voting as “participation in a system that continually fails to … protect them.”
Biden gave a long answer (yes, he meanders, but he really is knowledgeable). Biden referenced a number of challenges disproportionately impacting people of color, and he touted his proposals to improve education, assist first-time home buyers, and help get financing for small businesses, among other things.
Humphrey was then asked by the moderator whether he had heard what he needed to hear. Humphrey’s answer was a guarded “yes” that – if you saw it all – clearly seemed to indicate Humphrey was moving toward voting for Biden. “I think so,” Humphrey said. And Biden then added, “there’s a lot more. . . . If you’re going to hang out afterwards, I’ll tell you more.” And Humphrey, said “OK.”
It seems like Biden did reasonably well with a skeptical citizen. But not to Fox.
One of the Outnumbered crew declared that Biden lost that voter. And the token “liberal,” Juan Williams, in effect agreed that his (Juan Williams’) own remarks about the 1994 Crime Bill, etc., were better than Biden’s.
So I went to the Biden Town Hall tape and transcript just to verify that I had heard and seen want I had, well, heard and seen.
Of course, Fox was spouting BS: Telling us that Trump did very well in his Miami Town Hall, that the media was unfair to him, that Biden did badly in his Town Hall, etc. And I am sure the Fox crew, as usual, simply ignored Trump’s non-stop lies, pathetic bluster, and non-answers.

Also, apologize for the silence today. I’ve had quite a stressful two days but am hoping, knock wood, to be back to work as usual tomorrow.

I missed the whole thing. I wanted to see Trump, in the hope that he would blow it, which I have heard he pretty much did. But my DVR did not record it and I had a class during the actual debate.
