Earlier this week (4/4/13), Sean Hannity sneered about a research project funded with stimulus money "on how to use condoms correctly" that "surprisingly, created zero jobs.” Unfortunately for Hannity, a senior scientist on the project has corrected the record - and he doesn't look too good as a result.
Politico has the scoop:
(Scientist Erick) Janssen said that the money funded three years worth of research that employed about nine researchers and about 10 research papers that will soon be published. What the research does, he said, is look at how to prevent erection problems during condom use, so that condoms can be used properly and effectively, thereby preventing pregnancy and the spread of STD’s.
...“Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I wish that he would have looked into what the research really is about. And then he could have given a more informed commentary,” Janssen said.
Unfortunately, "informed commentary" is too much to ask for from Hannity.
