On Inauguration Day, Mark Levin Exhorts Fox Nation Readers to FIGHT Obama's Agenda

Posted by Margarita -3pc on January 22, 2013 · Flag

Fox won't give Obama a break for even one day. While he was celebrating the start of his second term as President, Fox Nation was displaying this as its lead post: “Mark Levin’s Inaugural Day Message… FIGHT!” The post linked to an interminable interview, re-posted from breitbart.com, in which right-wing rantmeister Levin invoked a future America bowing under the yoke of tyranny, slammed Obama for dragging us toward this doomsday, and slammed moderate Republicans for letting him do it.

Levin shrank with horror at the Obama agenda of “gun control; attacks on the First Amendment such as religious liberty; amnesty for illegal aliens; union expansion; institutionalizing Obamacare; institutionalizing voter corruption; de-industrialization via the EPA; destroying the capitalist-based economy via tax increases, smothering regulations, massive deficit spending, and endless borrowing; and hollowing out our military; etc.” (Did he leave anything out? Replacing the Bible with the Quran, maybe?)

How to fight that agenda? Not with the current Republican Party leadership, which Levin calls “tired, old, almost decrepit, full of cowardice and vision-less... Conservatives, constitutionalists, and tea party activists” he says, “…are the only people left standing for liberty against tyranny in this country." Levin wants the conservatives to retake the GOP, clean out the old guard and “install.. fresh, bold, articulate, knowledgeable, confident, courageous conservatives.” (Like Reagan.)

The country rests on the blade of a knife right now, says Levin. “We have a government with so much power, a government so ubiquitous, a government so cancerous in its growth and so exponential in its expanse, that I cannot conceal my great fear for the future of this country (does he get paid by the word? We wonders, yes we wonders.) … The question is whether we will be a free and prosperous people or just another miserable place where rights are denied and needs are scarce and distributed by the government. I believe knowing the perilous state of the nation, and not pretending otherwise, and knowing that only we conservatives have any hope of stemming this tide and gradually reversing course, we will fight this in every legitimate way we can. And hopefully our already significant ranks will grow. We have no choice but to stand and fight. Everything is at stake."

His call to arms sure resonated with some Nation readers:

BTW, Levin's been around Fox and Fox Nation quite a lot lately. I wonder if many Fox readers feel as this reader of the original breitbart.com article does.

Mark Levin an intellectual beacon!? I need an aperitif!

Levin uses arguments like a drunkard uses a lamppost; for support but NOT for illumination!

@moderator: thanx for deleting the death wish.

Not on, not even for my worst enemy. That’s why I’m so p…d off at the so-called pro-lifers who assassinate people in the name of the unborn whom they intend to ignore as soon as they are born.

I temporarily live in Texas and have to do a bit of driving here. As I believe in knowing my enemy before knee jerkingingly critising them I listen to Levin for fun, well, sort of. I refer to his show as the ‘hate show’, with his weasly nasely voice ranting on about the same damn thing time after time.

Tea baggers, repukelicans, wake up, you lost, you got slaughtered in the election, the people have spoken, assholes like McConnel, bad luck, you did not make President Obama a one term president. Now you are going to have to live with it, sensible legislation may now commence. Hallelujah!

I love Mark Levin, too, but for a totally different reason.

He’s so far off the wall he cannot but cause the less brainwashed among the faithful to reflect on what he actually says.

Ranting is works only on the already converted. For others, it is rather more boring than convincing. There’s not much that is thoughtful in a rant.

Gary Rusay. I have listened to Levin. Unfortunately he devolves into a shouting rant every 5 to 7 minutes, at which point I must change the station as his rants are repellent to the ear. Someone with a good message wouldn’t need to shout. His routine is old, and repetititive and is a hackneyed right wing philosophy based on theories which have been proved wrong by reality, over and over again. If he is your “great one” you need to get out more.

From Ed Mann’s comment:

“The right is not quite out of steam, but clearly out of power. "

Dear Ed: always keep this in mind: as long as the right has LOTS OF $$$$ in their arsenal — especially the Koch brothers and Herr Goebbels II (i.e. Rupert Murdoch), they will NEVER, EVER run out of steam.

Levin is a nasty piece of work. Sort of a feminine version of mAnn Coulter.

“He is a conservative gem with a wealth of knowledge. Anyone calling him “a joke” has no idea of his prowess.”

Oh, absolutely! And just don’t let that teensy little thing like that he’s totally out of his fucking mind bother you.

Why is it that conservatives like this guy are always shouting, “The sky is falling! The sky is falling!”? NOTHING is ever right and even if it looks to rest of the world like it is going to be all right these WINGNUTS say no it won’t work? I am beginning to think these guys have more loose screws than Home Depot! They are even so dumb that they don’t seem to relaize they are only making the electorate hate then more than they already do! SOUR GRAPES! POOR LOSERS!

@rob: I’m afraid so. A lot of this post comes straight out of the McCarthy Committee papers of the 1950s. The critical mind wonders: has America is Beautiful just come out of a time-warp or is he/her permanently stuck in the past?

Anyway, the piece was written several months ago considering the presence of several out-dated references (e.g. the “coming fiscal cliff” has been and gone). I expect we’ll see the same piece (word for word) again before long. The laddie who called himself Steve Call posted the same rant three times before giving up. Methinks I’ve finally understood the full meaning of the term “troll turd droppings”.

America Is Beautiful – Are you really that fucking stupid?

Levin attracts the most mindless followers. People who are lazy and have no desire to think at all, much less think for themselves. ’The Great One?" its like a bad joke.

The right continues its headlong flight from reality, trying to preserve their blend of angry, self righteousness means the rhetoric can’t be any less insane today than yesterday’s. And yesterday’s rhetoric lost them the election. Keep screaming Levin. It’s all you have left.

Remember The Dubya Agenda

1 – Slack off and let America come under attack on 9/11
2 – Sidetrack nation with endless war
3 – Wait for note from Cheny stating he’s made his fortune.
4 – Prime financial crisis before leaving office.
5 – Always remember, We The People have short memories.

Fight? Levin? Seriously?

What is he in height? 5 foot-nothing?

Is he the recinarnation of Napoleon Bonaparte? You go ahead little one. Have others do your fighting for you, which is the way you chickenhawks do your fighting. What a joke he is.

The right is not quite out of steam, but clearly out of power. They yelled and screamed their way into the election and it got nothing for them. With all the alleged viewers on Fox and conservative talk listeners alongside, they essentially stayed home and there’s nothing the likes of Levin can say to make a change.

Mark Levin is not a great educator or constitutional scholar. He rewrites history to make everything into a states-rights issue, and he ignores why the Confederation of states was rewritten by the Constitution in the first place, to put a strong federal government into operation and to make sure the states did not control and create chaos. He is so anti-federalist it isn’t fair, reasonable, or real.

He’s a nut case, perfect for controlling the easy to push around ditto-head conservatives.

like I said, they’re not going to be happy or take any responsibility for their actions until someone is killed, again.
