After Sean Hannity went on a Twitter rant against Megyn Kelly for daring to dis his beloved Donald Trump, the two have made a very public show of friendship.
As I wrote two days ago, Hannity went on a Twitter rant accusing Kelly of – OH NOES! – being a Hillary Clinton supporter.
How did Hannity deduce this personal information that she almost certainly never told him? Because she said in a discussion:
KELLY: Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly expand the tent.
As I noted then, Kelly spent way more time criticizing Hillary Clinton for going only to friendly venues. But, apparently, any criticism of his beloved Trump is more than Hannity’s tender feelings can take.
Nevertheless, the next day, Hannity and Kelly simultaneously and spontaneously decided that they should let the world know they’re really friends. And with the same tweeted photo and comment. Hannity's is above. Here's Kelly's:

Last night, Kelly closed her show by calling Hannity “my friend.”
Nobody’s buying it.
By the way, Mediaite’s John Ziegler wrote a persuasive column arguing that the dustup is a “clear sign” Trump will lose the election:
For Sean Hannity to stoop so low, so quickly, against the woman who is considered to be the biggest star at his own network tells us something else is really going on here. The only way for a meltdown that dramatic to be provoked so easily is that Hannity is starting to panic.
Let’s hope so.
The Stop Hannity Express says Hannocchio will suffer a mental meltdown, and it won’t be a pretty sight. His conservative friends will turn against him next months ahead.
I found it interesting that both he and O’Reilly did all they could to minimize the damage to Trump today, and as much as they could to exaggerate the non-news of what releases were being floated by WikiLeaks about Hillary Clinton.
You know the right wing is panicking when you see Dinesh D’Souza being touted as a reputable guest and then you hear him refer to Hillary Clinton as “a crooked hag”.
One really wonders how they’re going to handle the major bad publicity that will roil through this weekend. Trump has already gone on a spiral that has seen his 538 numbers plummet to a notably perilous level. Not sure they can go a lot lower, but this definitely won’t help him. And I don’t expect him to show up as a penitent and contrite man on Sunday night. Which will only increase the panic at Fox News.
About as far as soon as your back is turned I’ll wager.
