Despite our sorrows, our fears and our anxieties about what lies ahead, may we all find laughter and love today with friends and family.
I'm just finishing up a batch of my scrumptious cinnamon almonds and will soon be enjoying a feast with my family. It will almost certainly be delicious given that my brother-in-law is a serious foodie and is always in charge of the lion's share of dishes.
Much more important than the food, though, is our ability to spend time together. That is what I am most thankful for. Well, that and the fact that there are no Trumpers in my family. So that is one argument that will not be on the table.

@kevin That sort of bullying won’t go down well with the sort of GOP I respect, even those who voted for Trump afterall. Some of them are having a bad case of buyers’ remorse. By choice, I stay away from the redneck variety who’d rather shout and holler than discuss issues.

I heard from one close relative that he attended a Thanksgiving dinner in the Los Angeles area on Thursday, and was shocked to be confronted at the door by one of the party guests, possibly the host. He was specifically asked to which party he belongs. He told the man that he was a registered GOP voter, which is the truth. The party’s host/guest then angrily responded “Good! Because we weren’t going to let any liberals in here anyway!” It would appear the bullying trend is going wider than we could have anticipated.

@eof. I also have stopped watching the national news. Orange Donald parading the supplicants for a Cabinet position. Uncle Ben, Jefferson Beauregard, Crispy Cream Christie, 9/11 Ghouliani, etc. ad nauseam.

My aunt is holding court on how wonderful Trump is and she doesn’t trust Paul Ryan. I’m not saying a word. Happy to watch Pawn Stars with my cousins on the back porch. Keep the antacid handy. Salud!!
