Hannity’s First Guest Tonight Politicizes Hurricane Sandy

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on October 29, 2012 · Flag

As New York City and much of the East Coast gets pummeled by Hurricane Sandy, Sean Hannity used much of his show to advance his hate mongering against all things liberal and/or Democratic. So it shouldn’t come as a total shock that even his interview about the storm was a thinly-veiled effort to push conservative talking points.

The guest was meteorologist Joe Bastardi, a climate change denier and a Fox News fave. Sure enough, Bastardi announced, without prodding from Hannity:

This storm was long overdue… Get used to it along the East Coast… We are in a perilous time, because the Atlantic’s warm, the Pacific’s cold, it’s the 1950’s all over again. Next five to ten years, we’re probably going to see more storms along the Eastern seaboard. Has nothing to do with global warming. Has everything to do with nature. And then we go back to where we were in the 60’s.

Think there might have been a balancing opinion? Think again.

Ellen do you have any idea what a benign climate we have at the moment and how the reality of nature kept humans sprawling in the mud for the last several two million years?
No naive lefties (I was one ) never want to pry any deeper into human history further back than 200 years if they did they would know just how wrtched and precarious hunan life was before it developed into capitalsim. By the way it’s the left who have immediatly politicised this storm -in fact they are having orgasms over it as they can now start blaming evil capitalism. What a propensity towards lies the left have.

The left love disasters so they can use it to bash the very industries that supply the power and technology that allows them to vent their spleen all around the world. Hmm one of the drawbacks of technology -idiots preaching to all and sundry.

Set up a website where people can register as deniers of climate change. When the effects become ever worse move them to the most affected areas and tell them “Deal with it!”.

Over 95% of the scientists specialised in metereological research agree that climate change is happening and the research projects of the remaining 5% are financed by people and companies with vested interest in ignoring that possibility.

In this case as in so many others, the foxies prefer the ignorant to the knowledgeable.

If this is really the 1950s over again, perhaps Bastardi could provide examples of this weather in the 1950s. And not just Katrina/Sandy grade storms- How about the other bizarre trends in the weather?

Oh, wait- Hannity wouldn’t care about that.

Hm, Joe Bastardi — seems like he’s aptly named.

But hey — if insanity really wanted to politicize Sandy, he should have invited the Mittster himself: he could remind us how he feels about federal spending by FEMA for disaster relief — namely, that it’s “immoral” and “makes no sense at all” . . .

Ladies and Gentlemen, your modern GOP: where federal disaster relief is “immoral” — but rape is “legitimate.”
