Sean Hannity has been so upset with the National Review Online’s scathing assessment of Newt Gingrich’s candidacy that he forgot to attack President Obama during most of his discussion with Michelle Malkin last night (12/14/11). Malkin not only defended NRO, she offered her own criticisms of both Romney and Gingrich.
Right now, the home page of NRO has a huge, not-especially-flattering of Gingrich. The headline blares in large red letters, “AGAINST GINGRICH.” Underneath the photo is the caption: We fear that to nominate former Speaker Newt Gingrich would be to blow the opportunity to win the White House next year. —The Editors
Even worse for Hannity – an obvious Gingrich fan (who has also made it clear he’ll nonetheless support Mitt Romney if he winds up as the candidate) – Ann Coulter was on his show the night before arguing that Romney is the most conservative candidate who also “has the proven ability to win in a state like Massachusetts.”
Malkin sneered, “There are a lot of words to describe Mitt Romney but, honestly, ‘conservative’ has never been at the top of the list.”
However, she is obviously also no huge fan of Gingrich, either. Among other criticisms, she called his record “troublesome.” She also told Hannity that NRO has a strong record of fighting for conservatives that deserves respect.
Hannity was worked up in the kind of lather he usually reserves for attacking liberals. “I think all of these candidates are infinitely better than the disaster that we’ve got in Washington today. And it seems there is a culture… among Republicans and conservatives where they’re not happy until they eat their own, spit them out, destroy each other and then say they’re not gonna vote for the other one,” he harangued.

(BTW, what happened to the “like” and “reply” buttons that were on the old site?).
The fool does not realize that the Elite Washington GOP Power Machine (EWGOPPM) is behind the attacks, via conservative publications, websites, bloggers, and certain conservative talkers.
The EWGOPPM successfully took down Koch Cain and Good Hair Perry. Their next target is The Newt and The Mitt. Looking at The Mitt’s poll numbers recently, it’s declining rapidly.
But Hannocchio’s biggest fear is seeing President Obama re-elected another four years.
NOTE TO HANNITY
Conservative reporters, bloggers and commenters could care less what you think. You are irrelevant. You should hear what they say about you behind your back.
