A softball interview obviously designed to help their man Donald Trump appeal to women was not enough for Fox host Steve Doocy. He inquired hopefully of Trump’s daughter-in-law, “When are you going to drop” an “October surprise” about Hillary Clinton? 

Fox & Friends’ get-together with Lara Trump, wife of Eric “Boasting about grabbing p***y just makes Dad an alpha male” Trump, looked more like a family reunion than anything resembling news.

Also on hand was, Lynne Patton, “senior advisor” to the Trump campaign. She and Lara just happened to have heart-warming stories at the ready about how the guy we’ve heard boasting about sexually assaulting women, recently backed up by 11 women who say they’ve been groped or assaulted by him, is really just a lovable softie with women.

Of course, the three Fox cohosts bought it. They were full of sympathy for the family’s ordeal of having such revelations come out this month.

But cohost Steve Doocy was hoping for something more mean spirited. He asked Lara Trump, “What about the October surprise from the Trumps toward Hillary Clinton? When are you going to drop that?”

“There are still a couple of days left in October,” she teased.

“Oh really? So you might have something!” Doocy said excitedly.

“We’ve got some stuff up our sleeve,” Lara Trump replied.

“Alright!” Doocy exclaimed approvingly.
