Fox interrupted its analysis of the ABC News Democratic debate last night to present a completely unrelated report about the Republican candidates.

The fact that the post-debate analysis was hosted by Shannon Bream, not one of Fox News’ stars, spoke volumes on the face of it. But to interrupt the discussion 10 minutes into the show to run a lengthy report about Republicans added insult to injury.

As you can see in the clip below, about 10 minutes into Fox’s coverage of the Democratic debate, Bream cut short a discussion about ISIS in the debate to say, “So many more topics to talk about with the panel so please stick around.”

Then Bream said, “We’ve been talking all about the Democrats. Let’s now take a minute to hear what the Republican presidential candidates have to say about a lot of these major issues like terror, like immigration and the economy.

Except it wasn’t a minute, it was more than three minutes. And it's not as if Fox hasn't already spend way more time covering the Republican debates. For example, Fox gave the CNN Republican debate three hours of special coverage last week and gave the Fox Business Network-Wall Street Journal debate three hours of special coverage too. Each features Fox's prime time talent: Bill O'Reilly, Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity. Believe me, there wasn't any interruption for a report about the Democrats either night. Don’t expect any future Republican debate coverage to be interrupted by a report about the Democratic candidates, either.

Yet even one hour for the Democrats was too much for the "fair and balanced" network.
