It's a little more than a half hour to debate time. We've got the debate streaming after the jump. Please share your thoughts, opinions and observations with us in our comments thread.
I got the embedded video from YouTube. I'm not sure if it will always be via ABC News or YouTube will rotate. Either way, let us know what you think!

TAX & SPEND
SPEND & BORROW
Two entirely different fiscal ideologies
1945-1980 we taxed wealth to pay down wwii debt
1980-2009 we cut taxes and went on borrow binge that
allowed wealth to pay less in taxes
Reagan cut top rate 60% and increased spending
by 80% and debt by 189%
Bush cut taxes and increased spending by 90% and debt by 112%
or âdoubledâ after 225 years.
Tax & Spend=Pay Your Way
Spend & Borrow=kids pay tomorrow

Watched fox and friends this morning and many guests opined that Romney had deliberately backed off from confrontation because …..
he may have wanted to win the votes of more women !!
Now that sounds real principled N-O-T !

Watched it on Al Jazeera where the coverage was very neutral, very professional. Although they had more pro-Romney guests from the spin room, the people doing the non-spin commenting were knowledgeable professionals. Refreshing and instructive.
My impression is that Romney decided – for this debate – to abandon his early style of chest-beating canine-teeth flashing style of bullying, roaring rhetoric more akin to the behaviour of the gorilla … because it was putting people off. Ten years of a truly stupid war can do that to people even many who were not directly involved.
This meant that his proposals sounded pretty much like Obama’s. That’s definitely a relief for the whole planet. However, it’s very troubling to think that he’s changed his tune in order simply to win over a “war-weary” electorat. I’d sensed this coming for about a week and that makes me wonder who’s actually running Governor Romney’s campaign.
President Obama inherited a mess that turned out to be even worse than anticipated … so bad, in fact, that President Bush had actually started signing checks for remedial action. Far too many people seem to have forgotten that the country (and the world) had arrived at the brink of a deep depression.
Now that the first timid results are becoming visible is no time to go back to the people who got us in the mess in the first place. It is deeply troubling to note that 17 of Governor Romney’s 24 advisors are from the administration that got the USA into two very bloody wars for all the wrong reasons (including cooked intelligence) and that unleashed the most blood-thirsty of human species: the financial wizard. These are not the businessmen of the Fifties and Sixties who invested in making things and who therefore had to hire people.
No reason to change anything right now, IMO, considering that the latest version of Romney’s foreign policy would not differ much from Obama’s(assuming he doesn’t flop yet again); and considering that the economy seems to have started climbing out of the deep, deep, truly deep hole that the republicans allowed it to fall into.

I gotta confess something: Around the time Romney made his “Teacher’s” comment, I felt I had to find something more intelligent than his comments.
So I found Brazilian Star Wars on Youtube. People who didn’t join me say I was enjoying the much more high brow footage.

The rMoney Look
rMoney is running on one thing (though he never goes into detail):
American CEO Knowhow
-
Unfortunately rMoney lies and tells Americans the storey of the CEO Hero of the 1950’s who actually Lived & Invested in America, using tangible inputs & talents. He’ll never admit that today’s ultra-rich simply swap market risk-positions and skim off money without any new job or product creation. Best the peasants don’t hear about that.

By the way, Bully Boy, though he has declared Romney the winner, doesn’t look nearly as happy as he has after past debates.

I hope I’m wrong but I think public opinion is going to decide that Romney looked presidential and close enough to being a winner to win.

I was watching on C-SPAN.
When they opened it up for comments, the first commenter was a lady on the Romney supporters line who complained about the moderators on the debates, then ended with saying she hoped people paid attention to what’s gone on in the country the last four years.
The next was a tweet asking, if Obama has been in office for four years and had Dem super majorities for two of them, why didn’t he already pass this legislation?
The next was a call on the Obama supporters line . . . that was cut off.
At that point, I changed the channel.

@ truman – Fux Noise can start blaming the moderator, the media and everyone else. -
First off they’ll say rMoney Won!
Then they’ll say moderator & media we’re 100% with Mitt
Then they’ll say rMoney! marching to the White House!

That’s the SECOND time I’ve heard Mittens say the President “promised that by this time, the unemployment rate would be 5.4%”
Unfortunately (for Mitt), the President never said that . . .
