Donald Trump Reportedly Wants Fox’s Kimberly Guilfoyle To Replace Sean Spicer As Press Secretary

Kimberly Guilfoyle’s long record of sucking up to Donald Trump may finally be paying off for her!

Slate reported today:

When President Trump launched a Washington scandal by firing his FBI director, he knew just whom to blame. It wasn’t his own decision-making, of course. Instead he blamed “the bipartisan condemnation of his action on the failures of his embattled and overworked communications team,” reports the New York Times. The paper says Trump has grown so frustrated by some members of his team that he is considering “the most far-reaching shake-up of his already tumultuous term.”

According to Slate, “Trump has told allies that he wants Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle” to replace current Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

Guilfoyle seems to have been auditioning for the job even before Trump’s election. On New Year’s Eve, 2015, Guilfoyle was so busy swooning over Trump she missed the Times Square countdown. On one show in February, she conspicuously gushed over Trump adviser Steve Bannon, defended Trump’s Muslim ban as “not discriminatory on its face or in any way,” attacked former acting Attorney General Sally Yates (fired by Trump) as “a political joke” and suggested that dissent should be prohibited.

Oh, and Guilfoyle is a Vladimir Putin fan, too.

But I’d be leery of mistaking her sucking up for sincerity. According to a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against Fox News and former CEO Roger Ailes, contributor Julie Roginsky alleged that Ailes told her Guilfoyle “would get on her knees for anyone.”

Watch Guilfoyle miss the New Year’s Eve countdown below, from Fox’s December 31, 2015 New Year’s Eve coverage.

Many don’t remember or know that she served as San Francisco’s assistant district attorney from 2000 to 2004, and became the first lady of San Francisco in 2004 when then-husband Gavin Newsom was elected mayor.

I generally get a little uncomfortable with the “who did she have to blow to get that job” kind of humour, but in this case, well, she does seem to ask for it on a regular basis. Interesting to note Ailes’ alleged comment.

I guess Melania will stay in NYC for a while longer since she won’t be needed when Kim shows up in DC.

Nice one Lakeview Greg. You beat me to it.

Will the WH provide her knee pads or does she have to bring her own?

If she gets the job, will Trump demand she speak from a see-through podium?

Out of deference to Ms Guillfoyle, whom I have met, I shall not make any derogatory comments regarding her potential new job.

I will, however, laugh uproariously at the stupidity of that orange idiot.

I’m with Jane S in anticipation of watching Kimberley behind the podium. I believe it will be pure comedy gold. Wish I could get SNL over here.

It’s always somebody else’s fault with President Trump.

I read and reread his letter to Comey and cannot for the life of me understand how He can fault His spokes-people for assuming that His decision was based on the letter from the Deputy AG. It’s clear from the second paragraph to His letter to Comey (after the lame attempt to call Himself out of the Russian collusion story) that neither the spokes-people nor even the VP had had the privilege of discussing the firing with the President.

A unrequested piece of advice to the President: the people you kick off the bus on your way up the ladder will probably be sitting on the bank as you float down the river.

I’ve always wondered how many said yes to Ailes and Bill to get air time. It’s hard to believe they were always rejected. They must have scored a few times to keep trying.

If she does go I’m sure Trump thinks of her as a rating booster based only on her appearance.

The format of the show has always had 4 conservatives against one liberal. Hardly fair and balanced in anyone’s math. My conservative friends are talking about her leaving and what conservative female with great legs should be her replacement to sit in front of the camera for the good ole boys to drool over. When I suggest a liberal female and make it 3-2, they react like that would be unthinkable.

Oh, please, please, please, please! Bring It On. Can’t you just see it? She’s even more ignorant than Kellyanne Conway, and she hasn’t fielded a difficult question in many years. She Has No Idea What The Job Is.

That shall most likely be the end of the respected press personnel at the daily briefings ~ unless of course ~ she realizes this is the WH and not Fox’s whorehouse.

How appropriate that President P*ssygrabber’s next Press Hack does her best work while kneeling.
