I do not support any kind of physical attacks on anyone for any reason. But Fox News' Geraldo Rivera went looking for conflict with protesters at the Democratic National Convention and he found it.
As I wrote on Liberal America:
First, Rivera chided a protester for using the word “s***.” Then, he asked questions that insinuated the protesters are anti-free speech. His exchange with one protester:
“RIVERA: Do you support a free press?
PROTESTER: I support a free press, not a Wall Street press.
RIVERA: So you determine who’s a real reporter?”
At that point, someone poured a bottle of water over him. Watch it and read more at Liberal America.

Eyes on Fox, I have not seen this discussed much on Fox, though Hannity keeps ribbing Geraldo about it. I would have expected them to make a bigger deal about it.

Not long after that live on air fiasco, he rolled the dice again. This time a live drug bust in Houston, Texas, not five miles from where I’m sitting. Geraldo with cameras drawn and a whole army of Houston police crept up to the house in Channelview near the water. They breached the door, blitzed inside and found…., a lady inside wearing cutoff shorts painting the inside of a vacant house with a cigarette dangling out of her dumbfounded mouth.
I understand the HPD arrested that lady for,… for,… well, just because.
They didn’t let Geraldo do any live shows after that.
