Forgot all about this debate. I don’t look like I was the only one. Trying to catch up on it but Nancy Reagan’s death is sucking all the oxygen out of the news.

Turned to CNN figuring they’d promote their own event but, IMHO, their post-debate “New Day” coverage of the Democratic debate sucks. Online they have a “CNN’s Flint Democratic Debate in 90 Seconds” video that sucks just as badly.

The take-away I’m getting – and it might be incorrect based on the lousy and scant coverage I’m witnessing – is Sanders is ramping up heavily on the Hillary attacks. It’s all fair since gratefully they’re talking policy and not body parts and pantsuits but he’s starting to look desperate.

Hopefully, this will make Hillary a better debater and candidate but I’m not impressed thus far with her responses to Bernie’s attack on NAFTA. At least the meager clips I’ve seen. A heavy-handed protectionist like Trump will be even harder on Hillary pounding this populist issue. She needs to be better prepared.

Sanders: “When you watch these Republican debates you know why we need to invest in mental health.”

Clinton: “we have our differences, but compare the substance of this debate with what you saw on the Republican stage last week.”

I would so vote for either of these candidates, though. Love them both, for different reasons.

The acrimony was also getting a little high for me. It seems to have softened a bit now. Not that anyone is likely to start talking about their private parts, thank goodness.

Hillary Clinton sounds so hoarse, I wish someone would give her a lozenge.
