Brit Hume Gushes About Paul Ryan

Posted by Brian -34pc on August 15, 2012 · Flag

Yesterday, on America Live, Brit Hume spoke with Megyn Kelly to promote his exclusive interview with Paul Ryan on Special Report tonight. But first, she played a bit of a new ad that she “called the big story of the day” that “goes after the Obama team on the issue of Medicare.”

After playing a clip of the interview, Kelly asked Hume, “What were your impressions and what do you make of him now?”

Hume called Ryan “an unusual person." Hume continued, “He has a very deep knowledge of the issues. He’s very conversant with them. He explains the complex details in about as simple terms as they can be explained… He does this in a way that is strikingly cheerful. He’s disarming. These qualities will serve him well as a candidate. He’s a little bit of a hard target to attack. He’s going to be attacked. I don’t think he’ll be attacked personally though, Megyn, he’s personally quite appealing… You sense the Democrats know this. You hear it in the remarks that, you know, President Obama made about him being a decent man and a family man, all of which I think is clear.”

Brit Hume isn’t the gushing type but this comes pretty darned close.

Let’s be fair, Fox News commentators are well paid to preach nonsense. If they were fair, they would be fired.

Ryan’s original plan was for medicare vouchers TODAY, not 15 years down the road. (The rest of the party made him change it, lest seniors take them all out and hang them.) But really if tomorrow’s seniors are as powerful as today’s seniors, the voucher system will never be allowed to go into effect. So it is just another kick-the-can-down-the-road method of continuing to borrow and spend which is the only way Repub’s like to do business.
