Here's something that should help make Roger Ailes' day. The Fox News witch hunt against Eric Holder finally snagged his skull, at least in a symbolically, substantive-free way. Video via Think Progress after the jump.
Good for them (the Dems that walked out, that is). Shame on everyone else.

Just like last week’s talking point was that the Obama admin is “Nixonian”, so starts the new right-wing theme (as reiterated tonight by the outraged “idiot”, BOR) - “the Dems walked out on the family of Agent Terry”. Get used to it, folks, because we’re probably going to hear it a lot.

Whole display was disgusting. The consolation is that ultimately, it will have zero significance to history.

Is it just me, or is it really, really sad that it took them this long to realize that this was the only way to get that contempt vote on Holder?
though it’s not even close to as sad as that there’s no way they’re not aware Holder would have been held in formal hearings if their case held water.

The two Holder contempt votes will go down in history as party line votes that a few Dems were pressured into supporting by the NRA. No result will come from this, and the real story has already been published by Fortune.
This is a nothing story about Darrell Issa grandstanding and throwing tantrums, and it’s cheap political revenge for the appropriate investigations of criminality and impropriety in the Bush Admin. By November, I seriously doubt anyone will be thinking about it – at least not anyone that isn’t in the hard right GOP group already.

“Here’s something that should help make Roger Ailes’ day.”
That it will. Between the AZ Immigration bill decison on Monday, and the Healthcare decision today, Ailes and his fellow teabaggers didn’t have a whole lot to cheer about.
Now they do. What you wanna bet they’ll be talking about this the rest of the day, and the words “Supreme Court”, “Obamacare”, and “Chief Justice Roberts” won’t escape nary a Fox pundit’s lips?
