Borowitz Report: Fox News Wins A Pulitzer Prize For Fiction

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on April 19, 2012 · Flag

I've been spending time with my family this week so posting will be a bit light for the next several days. In the meanwhile, please enjoy this post from The Borowitz Report: Fox News Wins A Pulitzer Prize For Fiction. (H/T Connie M.)

The entire post is hilarious but here is my favorite paragraph:

“When I first heard about the Pulitzer committee’s decision, I didn’t believe it,” (Rupert Murdoch) said.  “I had to listen to their voicemails to hear it for myself.

For those who don't already know, Borowitz Report is a satirical site.

A faux Pulitzer for a faux news network. Very appropriate.

@Aria Prescott: Neither do I — hell, Fox has a much better shot at winning a Pulitzer for fiction than they do for investigative journalism . . .

These News Corporation frauds will be singing a different tune in the summer time.

Careers will be ruined, and reputations shattered. Others will be arrested, especially those in senior positions, and they know who they are.

The Fox “News” frauds will be squirming in their seats from now until the end of this year.

You know what the scary part is? I have no problem seeing this really happen. Not in the least.
