Allen West Explains Why We Liberals Are So Afraid of Him

Posted by Margarita -3pc on March 15, 2013 · Flag

I am still mystified, gentle reader, by the fact that turfed-out-after-his-first-term Congressman Allen West is giving speeches at CPAC and being repeatedly interviewed on On the Record. Last night he was amplifying, to a fawning Greta Van Susteren, on his CPAC statement that “there's nothing on this green earth that a liberal progressive fears more than a black American who wants a better life and a smaller government!”

“When you look at black Americans that are conservative...- Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Michael Steele, myself, Tim Scott, Mia Love (what, no Herman Cain? And Colin Powell? - I thought he was a RINO) any time you see people stand up and they swim against the current… the other side comes at them viciously…. They don't want to talk about an African-American conservative that has served 22 years in the military, that understands fiscal policies and responsibility, that understands a commitment to this country and individual sovereignty and freedom…” But buried in the deluge of right-wing buzzwords was some criticism of his own party. “I think the problem is that we have not taken that message into those communities. We have not taken the message into places like Detroit, into places like Chicago, into my own neighborhood there in Atlanta, that says, you know, there's a different way."

Van Susteren was very encouraging. "I studied economics, and it -- you've got -- everyone's got to do well in order for the economy to survive.” (WOW! That’s PhD economics material if I ever heard it.) Oh yes, said West, “because if you don't have that small business growth back in the urban communities, if you don't have good quality education and opportunities," (which you're not going to get from any Republican government I've met recently) you're going to see crime, gangs, welfare, unwed mothers, etc. etc. He then went on to talk about how we need to get tough on North Korea - echoing a statement he made in his CPAC speech that “Real security comes from the marine corps and not the Peace Corps."

Oh, Mr. West, I am so afraid of you! (Actually, I'm more afraid of getting mold in my kitchen. I'd have taken you a lot more seriously if you'd won your last election.)

I love CPAC season too. The comedy potential is enormous. Just saw this on Yahoo: “Sarah Palin Compares Obama to Bernie Madoff, Sips From a Big Gulp and Jokes About Her (Gun) ‘Rack’.” From the stupid, for the stupid.

Not afraid of Allen West, just his hypocritical shi##y ideas.
Less Government?
The guy worked for the Government(Military) for 22 years. He draws, or will draw a Military(Government) pension in effect drawing a Government salary till he dies. Ran for Congress and won(later lost) allowing him to draw a 2nd income from that Government he hates so much.
Has he drawn any income from the private sector? He’s probably done some speech’s bitching about the only employer(the Government) he’s known for the last 25 odd years. I would get fired if I talked about my employer like that in public.
How is it people don’t see through frauds like this Allen West?

From mlp’s comment:

“Nowadays, the GOP is in actuality the new Barnum & Bailey.”

And always remember these immortal words of P.T. Barnum:

“THERE’S A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE”

@truman Or a 1930s Nazi rally. Remember: Donald Trump came out on stage with his right arm extended.

The vile rhetoric spewed out at these CPAC hatefests is reminiscent of some KKK rally in the last century.

Sorry to interrupt your delusions and personal fantasies Mr. West, but we have no fear of you. In fact I’m sure many of us would love to see you run for President in ’16. Seriously, go for it.

The good Colonel should explain why he lost his election bid. Jim Crow Tea Nuts are afraid of black conservatives (Hermain Cain, Mia Love, Angela McGowan, etc.) All of these people lost.

West needs to face the fact that the white supremacists within the Tea Nuts will never vote for a black conservative.

CPAC’s anti black and Latino rhetoric will cost Republicans the next presidential election. The masses needs to preserve all the racist rants of conservative Republicans and use it against them in future elections. Start with this video of Perry being booed by CPAC audience when he mentioned Hispanics. This video must be posted on every Latino publication and blogs.

Just saw Perry on the news. He sounded just as stupid as that last Rethug president we had, whose name has apparently gone down the right wing memory hole.

@ Margarita: “A CPAC session sponsored by Tea Party Patriots and billed as a primer on teaching activists how to court black voters devolved into a shouting match as some attendees demanded justice for white voters and others shouted down a black woman who reacted in horror.”

LOL — that goes hand-in-hand with Rick “Helmethair” Perry getting BOOED after merely saying the words “growing Hispanic demographic” at CPAC:

Right wingers are scared of black conservatives, they’re scared of Hispanics . . . is there anybody they’re NOT scared of (other than themselves)?

@mlp!: you dread the CPAC season?

I LOVE the CPAC season!

For asinine, idiotic, racist, and completely disconnected from reality statements made by rightwingnuts, CPAC is only rivaled by the GOP Iowa Straw Poll, GOP presidential primary candidate debates, and basically anything that comes out of Rush Limpballs’ mouth.

It’s like SXSW for the stupid.

I really dread the CPAC season.
All we hear about is the incredibly stupid things these hucksters spew to their faithful in order to garner funds.
It’s simply a shell game. They spew what their faithful base of about 25% of the country wants to hear….whether they themselves believe it or not. And then they merrily lose whatever election is currently being pimped. HOWEVER, someone collects all that money that the goobers are willing to send. Nowadays, the GOP is in actuality the new Barnum & Bailey. There’s no biz like showbiz!

This is interesting – some right wingers are scared of black conservatives too, I guess…

@ Steve St John: Not only that, West appears to be saying he’s a “community organizer.”

I thought the rightwingnuts hated those . . .

“They don’t want to talk about an African-American conservative that has served 22 years in the military . . .”

And that African-American conservative apparently doesn’t want to talk about the reason his 22 year career in the military ended:

Oh, Mr. West, I am so afraid of you! (Actually, I’m more afraid of getting mold in my kitchen. I’d have taken you a lot more seriously if you’d won your last election.)

Amen, Margarita. First, Sarah Palin, now West — what is it with rightwingnuts, thinking that we’re soooo skeered of unemployed republican politicians?

Hmmm…West mentions “communities” a few times. Why, that word is awfully close to “communist.” Just sayin’
