A String Of Homophobic Tweets From Fox Contributor Erick Erickson

Newly-minted Fox News contributor Erick Erickson probably did little to help widen the Republican tent this week when he let forth a batch of homophobic tweets on the day the U.S. Supreme Court held oral arguments on the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act. (h/t Media Matters)

Fox News will undoubtedly keep him instead of firing or reprimanding him. He probably won’t even get a slap on the wrist.

The funny thing is that despite all the anti-gay tweets, Erickson also acknowledged, "I've read the briefs. I'm sorry, but I still don't see how DOMA is constitutional."

Either someone didn’t pass Erickson the memo that openly gay bashing without even passing it off as concern is Todd Starnes’ territory…

Or he didn’t read it.
