With Mike Pompeo facing a difficult confirmation vote next week, Fox News is doing its part by talking up Trump’s secretary of state nominee and attacking Democrats who won’t go along.

The now-retired federal judge who presided over the case just destroyed the allegations by Sean Hannity and apparent Supreme Court Justice auditionee Alan Dershowitz that special counsel Robert Mueller allowed four men to remain wrongfully imprisoned in the 1980s.

Sorry, but I don’t think this was the right way to confront Fox News’ bias and tactics.

Remember when Sen. Mitch McConnell declared the deficit a “huge, huge problem,” and “the most important issue confronting the future of our country?” That was so Barack Obama presidency ago! On Fox News, McConnell touted the Trump tax cuts as a selling point in the 2018 midterm elections and seemed not to have a care in the world about deficits.

It seems like every minute we are learning more about how Sean Hannity is incestuously intertwined with the Trump administration - and acting more as an operative than any kind of legitimate opinion news host. Judging from Hannity’s unhinged monologue last night, he is very much feeling the heat.

Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell signaled that Republicans will do nothing to stop Trump from sabotaging special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation – even as McConnell went through the motions of warning Trump not to do it.

Congratulations to Kayleigh McEnany. Her claim that Donald Trump will “go down as one of the greatest presidents, if not the greatest in modern history” slaughtered the competition in last week’s Outrageous Fox Quote poll.
