Brian Kilmeade: Fox Hires Female Anchors From Victoria's Secret Catalogue
Yesterday, on his radio show, Kilmeade and Friends, Brian Kilmeade "explained" how the "women of Fox" get hired. In shades of "binders full of women," Kilmeade said, "We go into the Victoria's Secret catalogue and we said, 'Can any of these people talk?'"

I don't go around keeping tabs on Franklin Graham but it seems that whenever he shows his face in public he either goes birther or says something to denigrate and smear people who are not evangelical, conservative Christians. But you'd never know that from watching the lapdog interview on Hannity last night. It may be the one time Sean Hannity passed up an opportunity to bash President Obama. I suspect it was because Hannity was too busy flaunting his "life-changing" schmoozing with Graham giving out Christmas gifts to children in poor countries.
Read moreDid Oliver North Just Out Ronald Reagan’s Role In Iran Contra?
For those who were not around or do not remember, there was a pall cast over Ronald Reagan’s presidency by the Iran Contra scandal in which sales of arms to Iran were made in violation of U.S. policy in order to secretly fund right-wing Contra rebels in Nicaragua – which was also in violation of U.S. policy. One of the masterminds of the operation was none other than Oliver North, later convicted of three felonies (overturned on a technicality) and now a Fox News host. Reagan said he did not know that money from the sale of arms to Iran had been secretly diverted. But last night, on Hannity, Oliver North suggested otherwise.
Read moreFox News Accuses Obama Of Cooking The Jobs Reports Numbers
Yesterday, Eric Bolling and the Fox & Friends crew announced how "odd" they found it that the jobless numbers spiked immediately after the election. But instead of doing any real digging the four of them engaged in baseless speculation that President Obama had somehow covered up the jobless situation while he was campaigning and that the truth was coming out now.
Read moreGot Hubris? Bill O'Reilly Says His "Stuff" Comment 100% Correct!
While Bill O'Reilly claims that his show is the "no spin" zone, he did a lot of gyrating on Tuesday night in trying to claim that his recent comments, about the demise of "traditional" America, were being misrepresented by the press. In addition to demonstrating how he can twist and turn, he also provided us with yet another example of his classic narcissism with his pompous assertion that his now famous election night analysis of the reason for Obama's win - free stuff for minorities - was "100% correct." But Bill is no stranger to denial given that he still doesn't think he had anything to do with creating a climate of hate in which an abortion doctor was killed. I don't know about the rest of Bill's male anatomy (ewww) but I do know that he has some mighty big cojones.
Read moreFox News "Real" Journalism?
Not only does Fox News claim it's "fair & balanced;" but it also claims that the rest of the mainstream media is full of liberal bias. Attached are screen shots, from Fox, CNN, and MSNBC of the headline reporting the closing of Hostess Brands. You tell me which one has an agenda. As the saying goes, it's not what you say, but how you say it. Words matter.
Read moreHannity Trots Out Swift Boat Captain To Revive 2004 Smears Against Kerry
One can understand Fox News’ nostalgic yearnings for 2004 in the wake of their second presidential-election whooping last week. But Sean Hannity was almost giddy with anticipation at the prospect of a Swift Boat Veterans reunion tour against John Kerry should he be tagged for a cabinet position in the Obama administration’s second term.
Read moreRoger Ailes' Fantasy Land: We Have No Agenda
Roger Ailes gave an interview to the ever-credulous TVNewser yesterday. One sentence jumped off the computer screen, as it almost certainly will to almost anyone familiar with Fox News' brand of "fair and balanced." Ailes said, "We have no agenda." Even more startling, he was talking about his network's coverage of President Obama.
Read moreFox Nation: Where Jesus Meets T&A
The cognitive dissonance of Fox Nation is nowhere more apparent than it's promotion of the gospel of right wing Christian grievance while simultaneously providing some visual - er - stimulation for those Christian gentlemen who bray about liberals' loose moral standards. While Rupert Murdoch's Fox Nation can't get away with his "daily diet of topless 'Page 3 girls" in his British tabloids, it does provide some titillation for its readers in the form of photographs (Pic of the Day), on the right hand side of the site. Today we have a thread about Franklin Graham's belief that "we have turned our backs on God" while the "pic" is a scantily clad Rihanna. Fox Nation has something for everybody!
Read moreJon Stewart Explains Why Bill O'Reilly Shouldn't Fear The End Of Traditional America
Jon Stewart took Bill O'Reilly to task tonight and absolutely demolished his "end of traditional America" lamentation by pointing out that absorbing new ethnicities and religions is exactly the kind of tradition that makes our country great. Stewart also pointed out that there was a time when people complained that Irish, Catholics and Jews were a menace to "traditional America," too.
