If Donald Trump’s attempts to squelch reporting he doesn’t like is an attempt to “get us back to a free press,” as Rudy Giuliani argued with a straight face on Hannity last night, you have to wonder what Giuliani thinks is a muzzled press.

Not one of the conservative fat cats on Fox News’ The Five had a problem with the prospect of millions of Americans losing health insurance after Republican repeal Obamacare. In the words of cohost Greg Gutfeld, “You gotta just respond with ‘So what?’”

While many journalists, even some at Fox, expressed dismay at Donald Trump’s anti-American attack on the press yesterday, Sean Hannity all but put on a party hat and called for the day to be declared a national holiday. 

While Fox News HATES liberal Hollywood, it has no problem with right-wing Hollywood types who aren't exactly acclaimed. And while Fox wants liberal Hollywood to STFU, they seek out the political, er, wisdom of "stars" like Chuck Woolery who, on last Saturday's Fox & Friends, continued to trash liberal Hollywood and, for added points, dismissed Russian hacking. 

When Donald Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer acknowledged that he had threatened to eject CNN reporter Jim Acosta from Trump's press conference yesterday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson seemed to forget that he once thought reporters are “supposed to get their questions answered.” But that was so President Obama-questioning ago.

Bill O’Reilly did his best to paint BFF Donald Trump as the victim of a horribly biased press by saying, “Not since Richard Nixon has the national press corps been so determined to bring someone down.” But I can't help wondering why O'Reilly would want to compare Trump to Nixon.

Fox News host Shepard Smith stood up on behalf of journalism today and against Donald Trump’s attack on a CNN reporter at his press conference.
