Most mothers boast about their kids for getting good jobs, good grades, etc. But Sarah Palin is proud of daughter Bristol for getting into a drunken fistfight.

Bill O'Reilly has decided he knows better than the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - as well as medical doctors who have appeared on Fox - about how to keep Americans safe from the Ebola virus. Hint: it has nothing to do with vaccines, treatments or protocols and everything to do with barring West Africans from the U.S. And ramping up distrust of the Obama administration.

Last week, I contended that Piers Morgan was gunning for a job at Fox News. However, Fox host Howard Kurtz complained Morgan was “rather petty” on yesterday’s Media Buzz. That does not bode well for Morgan’s chances at the network.

Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS) visited Fox’s America’s Newsroom today where the show did its part to promote a Republican rally around the endangered incumbent.

Part of Fox News' success is its ability to provide a national platform for wedge issues which divide America. Their biased coverage serves to advance a climate of fear and loathing of people and issues whom the right wing oppose, particularly undocumented immigrants who, on Fox, are always described as "illegals." Yesterday, Fox & Friends advanced what has now become the latest right wing outrage; i.e. how the Mexican government is helping its citizens avoid deportation by assisting them in applying for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals immigration status, otherwise known as DACA which allows for a stay of deportation for those who came to the US, without documentation, as children. Doesn't seem like a big deal; but for Fox guest, Jordan Sekulow, who is head of a legal group that specializes in cases involving Christian 1st Amendment rights, it certainly is - and it's all Obama's fault!

Bill O’Reilly visited Media Buzz today where he complained about media bias elsewhere while giving Fox News a pass. O’Reilly did correctly say that he mixes liberals and conservatives on his show but his claim to keep “non-stop Obama bashers” off is laughable. And speaking of funny, there was a discussion about Jon Stewart's role in news - and O'Reilly revealed he'll be back on The Daily Show soon.

Greg Gutfeld admonished the media for fear mongering about the Ebola virus last night. But the only example he cited was liberal Joan Walsh - who wasn’t warning about the virus so much as our public health infrastructure’s ability to fight it. Meanwhile, Gutfeld gave Fox News a huge pass on its far more inflammatory fear mongering.

Sean Hannity covered the recent shooting of another black teenager in the St. Louis area by dismissing African American concerns of police brutality and suggesting that badly-behaving African Americans are the real problem. His pal, David Limbaugh, made it about President Obama.

Fox psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow has come up with a new psychoanalysis of President Obama. This time, Ablow - who has never actually examined Obama - has figured out why he wants us all to "suffer" with Ebola (and maybe ISIS, too). And guess what? Like Ablow's other diagnoses, it has a lot to do with Obama's failure to love America.

If one were using an epidemiological model for the toxicities of the radical right, Fox News might be considered to be a vector. The latest virus, currently making the rounds of rightwing host blogs, seems to have originated with the right wing National Review. It was then caught by Todd Starnes who is frequently "patient zero" when it comes to Fox diseases. This latest bit of conservative histrionics, aided and abetted by Glenn Beck, is focused on how a Nebraska school district is trying to be more gender inclusive so that LGBT (and all) students can feel more comfortable. But for the right, any attempt to mess with what Jesus assigned us is considered just another stop on the highway to hell. So it's no surprise that Fox's Outnumbered would tackle the story and, in so doing, advance the BIG, FAT LIE that has become part of the right wing narrative.
