Sarah Palin used the right-wing campaign against Planned Parenthood to swipe at opponents of the Confederate Flag - and pretend it's because she cares about black babies. That got her a Fox News prime time spot where, in a word salad, Palin accused Planned Parenthood of promoting abortions to black women for profit.

Kirsten Powers can usually be counted on for reasoned counterpoints to Fox insanity. But last week, in a discussion about (what else) persecuted Christians, Powers distorted a court decision regarding a case, brought by nuns, against the ACA. You'd expect misinformation from other Fox hosts. So when Powers does it, it's disappointing.

Fox & Friends got hold of a video of a group of migrants running ashore in Florida and suggested that “proved” there are 30 million “illegals” in the U.S., about three times the official number, and that they are to blame for unemployed Americans.

It’s hard to think of anything more ironic than Bill O’Reilly complaining about the U.S. getting more barbaric – not because Republican legislators would rather shut down the government than allow it to help people get health insurance, e.g. – but because Planned Parenthood allows patients getting legal abortions to donate the fetal tissue to medical research.

Megyn Kelly hosted Daily Beast reporter Tim Mak, one of the reporters of the big story about Donald Trump’s sexual assault on his then-wife Ivana Trump. Kelly hostilely confronted Mak about the substance of his story but, to her credit, she acknowledged just how wrong the threats from Trump’s lawyer were.

The O’Reilly Factor discussed the news that the University of California system will allow students to choose from six gender identities – not with any expert but with the two comedian wannabes, Bernard McGuirk and Greg Gutfeld. They and Bill O'Reilly made snarky “jokes” about transgender people.
