Bill O'Reilly is an angry, aging conservative white guy. And while we don't know if Bill O'Reilly's audience is white, we do know that its median age is 72.1 and this would suggest that there just might be more than a few angry, white conservatives who are O'Reilly fans. Bill's Barcalounger Brigade, most likely, consists of folks who grew up in the halcyon days when women and minorities knew their place and gays led lives of quiet, closeted desperation. Transgender issues were certainly not spoken of and if they were, the terms perversion and demonic possession were probably utilized. And while some older folks might have gotten over the ignorant insularity of their upbringing, it's apparent that the Holy Ghost inspired Bill hasn't. As demonstrated by O'Reilly's (who doesn't "cast aspersions) latest attack on the transgender community, his fear and loathing render him incapable of even uttering the word "transgender." 

Fox’s Dr. Keith Ablow – the psychiatrist who probably could use a good shrink – was the alleged “one lucky guy” on Outnumbered yesterday. And once again, he did not let a little fact like never having examined President Obama get in the way of psychoanalyzing Obama’s decisions to “disempower” the United States.

Sarah Palin had a new opportunity to show off her famous foreign-policy mojo tonight when she appeared on the Hannity show and lectured President Obama about the things he doesn’t understand about our military and doesn’t love enough about America. From the woman who never seems to open her mouth in public without spewing hate about our country.

Yesterday, I posted about Bill O’Reilly’s not-so-thinly veiled threat to Mexico if they don’t submit to his demands to release American Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from jail. Tahmooressi, you may recall, was arrested for driving into the country – mistakenly, he says – with three guns. Last night, O’Reilly revealed how he plans to make the country submit.  You know, the way he got them to bend to his will over another jailed American.

Fox’s fickle liberal, Bob Beckel, was finally bugged enough about the tactics of his The Five colleagues yesterday that he called out their anti-Obama attacks for what they are: “abysmal,” “disgusting” and “treasonous.”

I think it's safe to say that if Elliot Rodger had been a Muslim, Bill O'Reilly would have described his killing spree as an act of domestic terrorism inspired by the teachings of Islam. If he had been an African-American O'Reilly (and Greg Gutfeld) would have blamed what he believes to be a lack of moral values in a thuggish black community and, of course, hip-hop music. But despite the reality that 75% of mass shooters are white, as was Rodger, O'Reilly isn't talking about deficiencies in white culture. And despite the reality that Rodgers was part of a dark, internet culture of woman-hating, O'Reilly gives Rodger a free pass on that, too. In last night's Talking Points Memo, O'Reilly advanced the notion that Rodger was just a lone, mentally unstable gunman, nothing more to see here move along. But given that Bill O'Reilly is a poster child for woman hating and white privilege, should we be surprised? 

Fox & Friends didn’t just sneer at EPA-funded research into cleaner cookstove technology, they dismissed the dangers from present cookstoves and then fear mongered that the whole project was little more than a way to “just put a fist on your kitchen and what you can use” as Elisabeth Hasselbeck put it.

The Hannity show rounded up three white guests – each with a history of race baiting – to weigh in on Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s remarks about racial prejudice and crossing the street when he sees a black kid in a hoodie. Not surprisingly, all but one endorsed Cuban's views as “honest” and “based on statistics.”

As soon as the news broke that the White House had inadvertently released the name of the CIA station chief in Afghanistan, you could almost hear Fox News staffers rubbing their hands in glee in anticipation of the partisan hay they could make. The only problem? All that time they spent minimizing the seriousness of the Valerie Plame leak. But never fear, Fox dug the Plame leak out of its Bush-Scandal Memory Hole and found a way to make it a GOP twofer.

As Media Matters reports, Fox News is leading the media charge in support of the GOP's attempt to weaken school nutrition standards which were promoted by Michelle Obama. On Tuesday, "Outnumbered" co-host Sandra Smith supported the Republican legislation with GOP talking points drawn up, in part, by the School Nutrition Association, a lobbying group which receives its money from big food suppliers such as Domino's Pizza and Coca-Cola. Today, on America's Newsrooom, Fox medical A-Team member and serial medical misinformer Dr. Marc Siegal pimped the same GOP/food industry talking points.
