Charlottesville was the single source of Fox outrageousness in this week’s poll. But before you start evaluating the worst of the worst, let’s give a raspberry to Trump foreign policy advisor Stephen Miller, our winner of last week’s poll, for his over-the-top praise of Donald Trump.

Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson offered a shocking defense of Confederate statues today on Fox & Friends. In arguing that they represent a part of America’s “good history,” Pierson asked, “Where would we be today if not for that Civil War?” She also likened those who want to remove the statues to ISIS.

On Fox, Dr. Gina Loudon opined that people “on Main Street” would have been more interested in Donald Trump’s (supposed) accomplishments than in the racial issues raised by the Charlottesville white supremacist rally last week.

Anti-choice fabulist Abby Johnson was once again presented by Tucker Carlson as a credible expert on Planned Parenthood and once again she dishonestly presented the organization as some kind of abortion factory that doesn’t really provide other kinds of health care for women.

Bill Maher blamed Fox News as an integral underpinning of the Charlottesville tragedy. Maher called Fox “the Jurassic Park that took the DNA of the Nazis and reanimated it.” 

Fox News contributor Kevin Jackson ignored the murder of anti-racism protester Heather Heyer in Charlottesville last week and insisted that white supremacists are being oppressed by anti-American leftists.

James Murdoch, the chief executive of Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox and the son of Trump-whisperer Rupert Murdoch, has, “in a personal capacity,” condemned Trump’s remarks about the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville last week. Murdoch has also pledged $1 million to the Anti-Defamation League in response. But he made no mention of how Fox News has helped support and defend Trump’s remarks.

Melissa Francis broke into tears on Outnumbered this week over Charlottesville. But not because of the victims. No, she was upset at the thought of being “judged” for defending Donald Trump’s racial comments. Yet she has a long record of judging those who disagree with her.

The public face of alt-right America, Steve Bannon, has been ousted from the Trump administration. But there's no reason to believe that Donald Trump's repugnant behavior on race will change.

Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer lowered the boom on Donald Trump’s now-infamous third response to the Charlottesville neo-Nazi rally. While he was at it, Krauthammer also called out what he thought was insufficient condemnation from colleague Laura Ingraham.
