Donald Trump actually once said that if his daughter Ivanka weren't his daughter, he would, uh, date (?) her. Yet, on Fox & Friends, a chastity advocating doctor waxed orgasmic over Trump's parenting of Ivanka. Seriously!
Thursday's Fox & Friends segment began with video of Ivanka Trump praising her father. Brian Kilmeade introduced Dr. Meg Meeker, a chastity advocate and college professor (thought all profs were evil liberals!) who has written several books "from a Catholic perspective." Kilmeade cited her most recent "best selling" book, "Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters, a Devotional." Meeker said that "what she wanted to do with Donald Trump and Ivanka is put the spotlight on dad."
Meeker claimed Donald's experience reflects what happens in our greater society which is too critical of men. She advocated "going deeper" and asking "how are men as fathers because we need our fathers back." Kilmeade asked, "What does it reveal about a person by the way their relationship is revealed with their daughter?" Meeker: "It shows that he has some warmth, compassion and it also shows that he champions women." (Things he says, not so much!) She scolded women "who don't want to hear that" and "call him a lot of names." She claimed that "any man that helps his daughter get to the professional level that Ivanka has gone to is a man that champions women."
Video of Ivanka, praising her father for helping her get to where she is, was shown. Meeker continued to gush over Trump "as a dad." She gushed over "strong dads." Kilmeade gushed over the other Trump adult children. Meeker continued to gush over fathers who "are extremely important." She asserted that "we need to get about the business of championing dads, particularly dads and daughters." Taking a page from Bill O'Reilly, who hates single parent families, she claimed that "the answer to so many of our social ills is getting our dads back."
Meeker continued to gush about fathers and daughters. She said "we need to nurture a strong relationship between a father and a daughter." Kilmeade noted that everybody agrees that Trump "is a great dad." Meeker: "We've got to give him that." She finished with an exhortation to "start talking about dads in this country because we need great dads."
Right, when Ivanka was 16 she helped him run a Miss Teen USA contest. According to the NY Times, the following occurred: "He turned to Brook Antoinette Mahealani Lee, Miss Universe at the time, and asked for her opinion of his daughter’s body. “ ‘Don’t you think my daughter’s hot? She’s hot, right?’ ” Ms. Lee recalled him saying. ‘I was like, ‘Really?’ That’s just weird. She was 16. That’s creepy.”
Ewww...
But Dr. Meg Meeker and Brian Kilmeade say he's a great dad....
Attached is Trevor Noah's take on how Donald Trump "wants to bang his daughter."

I’m just so shocked!
I ask myself if right-wingers are really so stupid as to buy this silly segment. Then I do the Tea Party blog rounds and the answer is obvious: yes.
