In addition to Fox & Friends, former Marine Christopher Marquez appeared on Greta Van Susteren's "On the Record" where he, again, claimed that his assault was a racist hate crime. He also informed us that there is now a go-fund-me account set up to help him replace the stolen cash. Can we say publicity with perks?
Thursday night, Greta reported on the assault. She played a clip of Marquez in which he claimed that the teens were trying to "intimidate" him by asking him if black lives matter. She then spoke with Marquez, sporting a hospital gown, as he is back in the hospital under observation. The banner reinforced Marquez' claim: "Marine, Teens Called Me Racist & Attacked Me." He just happened to mention the "Go Fund Me" account and asserted that "most of the funds" would be going to charity.
As he did with Kilmeade, Marquez recounted, but in greater detail, how he was attacked (he added that he was eating an Egg McMuffin). He, of course, mentioned that the teens asked him if he believed that black lives matter. Seasoned attorney Greta accepted his uncorroborated testimony as Fox fact. She reminded him of their off-camera conversation about how, when he leaves the hospital, she and Marquez will be getting together for a cup of coffee. Marquez got the last word when he urged his fans not to commit violence over what happened to him.
The Go-Fund-Me account was also featured in a Fox News Insider article. In providing background on this account, Fox News Insider linked to the website. The article informs us that the original goal of $400, the amount which was robbed, was reached and has now surpassed $13,000. The article also mentioned that Marquez thanked his fans on another Fox & Friends show. (Video not available). Despite the fact that it is Marquez who is alleging that the teens asked him if black lives matter, the article says the teens apparently asked him if black lives matter. (On Fox, words do matter!)
Apparently, Daniel J. Amoruccio, who runs the Go-Fund-Me thing, is very grateful to Fox News, one of whose affiliates provided exposure for the fund raiser. He expressed a "special thanks" to Fox which has been a "relentless and driving force behind Chris' voice" and (as claimed by Bret Baier) "without Fox News, this story would have been swept under the rug
Obviously, we shouldn't be diminishing the assault - but, think about it, not only does Marquez get to help Fox News in its ongoing race baiting - but he's getting money and publicity, too! Move over Pete Hegseth, there just might be a new #oneluckyguy on the way up!!!
Get your A$$ beat by 5 black thugs and then start talking…..this article leans one way and it is obvious. It was a HATE crime……period.
