Steve Doocy Thinks Date Rape Is Funny?!

In the real world, people were aghast at a Bloomingdale's ad which seemed to condone date rape. In Fox News world, Steve Doocy wonders why people would be aghast because this is obviously a joke. Seriously?

Friday, November 13, the cretinous morning chums discussed a recent Bloomingdale's ad which featured an attractive, well dressed man leering at an attractive well dressed woman. The caption: “Spike Your Best Friend’s Egg Nog When They’re Not Looking." Due to the public furor over the casual suggestion that spiking a drink (it's illegal) is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays, Bloomingdale has apologized. And that's where Fox & Friends comes in.

After reporting on the situation, Heather Nauert tossed to the pals and, in so doing, worked in the Fox message that, I guess, date rape is fine and dandy: "As you talk about fake controversies, anybody have an opinion on that." Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that "you could go as far as calling this a reckless ad." Clayton Morris praised Bloomingdale's for responding to the criticism. Hasselbeck asked the audience if the ad "should have been there in the first place" and that's when it got interesting.

Sounding like he had a few too many, Steve Doocy slurred "are you OK with it or do you think it's just a joke?" He continued, "remember back in the old days when people used to make jokes." (Oh, the good old days that the aging Fox audience wants to take their country back to - those happy days when fine white folks could indulge in ethnic slurs and not worry about it- good times...) Morris chimed in, "when people had a sense of humor."

After he asked "when was that," Doocy responded "back in the old days" which, interestingly, were the days that Fox & Friends once waxed nostalgic about.) Morris said "the early 80's." Hasselbeck quipped "that one I would draw the line on, myself." Morris weakly respond with a "yeah."

If anything is a joke, it's Fox & Friends. Wonder if Steve Doocy is still a fan of Bill Cosby. Just saying.....

Not just from a date rape perspective, but a person could be spiking the drink of a recovering alcoholic.

Faux never thinks things through. They never have.
