Save the date!!!!! On Friday, July 27th, our favorite (*and only official) Fox clergyman, Fr. Jonathan Morris, will be speaking at the "Under God, Indivsible" Christian "Leadership Congress" at High Point Church in ArlingtonTexas. It is being co-hosted by James Robison who hosts his own Christian TV program and who is part of a group of evangelicals who want Obama to be defeated in November. He's also a close friend of the boyishly handsome Fr. Morris who accepted Jesus as his personal savior on Robison's show. Robison, who thinks that homosexuality is "destructive to society," is part of a stellar line-up of who's who in radical Christian homophobia; but it's being held in conjunction with Glenn Beck's "Restoring Love"Dallas event so it's all good. To see some of the homophobic luminaries that Fr. Morris will be palling around with, read on...
Jim Garlow - Pastor, SkylineChurch- says same sex marriage is a "fight against an anti-Christ spirit and wrong because God "is the foundation of all government. Big on the "gay agenda" which could "cost us our lives."
Ken Hutcherson - Pastor, AntiochBibleChurch- Says Obama's endorsement of same sex marriage is "the devils work." Wants "promotion of homosexuality" banned. Officiated at Limbaugh's latest wedding.
Kenneth Copeland - TV Evangelist - Compares gays to murderers and thieves.
Harry Jackson - Senior Pastor, Hope Christian Church - Says Gays try to recruit people just like the Nazis did.
David Barton - bogus "historian" who says "homosexuality should be illegal."
Jay Richards - With "intelligent design" promoting Discovery Institute - says marriage equality "incompatible with "limited government and individual rights."
And I would be remiss if I didn't mention Pastor John Hagee who, when it comes to the "gay agenda" is batshit crazy. He says that gays and lesbians “will act relentlessly” until “their will is pressed upon the majority.” The high point of his "Christian" anti-gay hate speech was, IMHO, when he blamed gays for Hurrican Katrina. He also once referred to the Catholic Church as the "Whore of Babylon." But after explaining that he wasn't dissing all Catholics, he was forgiven by Bill Donohue, head of the Catholic League, because Bill realized that Hagee was a homophobic soul brother.
If, as the saying goes, you're known by the company you keep, Fr. Morris has some seriously bad company!
